I have catless downpipes and didn’t smell anything, a week ago I added midpipes, at idle you can smell the exhaust fumes pretty badly, while standing at lights or in traffic if the windows are down it also smells bad. Today I noticed when I turned the ac on I could slightly smell the fumes again. I’ll
Be taking the car for a 600 mile trip this weekend hoping to see if there are any changes if not I am putting the oem midpipe back on. |

It's not that bad you get used to it. You feel like you're driving a real enthusiast car rather than these quiet little M cars, sometimes it gets pretty bad but usually if the car is idling and you're outside. Inside the cabin isn't that bad. The smell should be least of your issues when going catless, it's the check engine light, illegal factor, and not passing smog that's more of a regular concern. With that said, I highly recommend!! 😂👍🏼😂👍🏼

I've been catless for about 5 months now (still have stock midpipe/rear) and I've gotten complaints for noise, but not for smell. I am positive my neighbors wouldn't hesitate to make a complaint if it were obvious. The joys of living in San Francisco...
