My breaks squeak in reverse often. I agree with the embarrassing feeling, my neighbors hear it all the time. Car has 5100 miles on it...

Same issue - not too bad but annoying - actually only noticed after calipers were painted and thought maybe something to do with re-install but apparently not!! Do wonder if the wear on the pads creates a 'grain' that causes a 'rougher' or glazed contact when braking in opposite direction - prob talking gibberish

Both of my F80s did/do this... as well as my old STI and a number of other fixed caliper cars I have owned.

My new 2018 M3 as well, but I'm used to it by now.

2015 M4 DCT with about 36k on the clock. Definitely squeals when engaging reverse and I start to let off the brakes. Sound seems to get worse the longer I let the car sit in between drives.
