Definitely not an error in either case. There is no MY2019 F30/F80.

Not only that, but 763M have been available for some time, and they are offered in 19” F and 20” R for the M3 and M4.

Edit: I think uniqueMR was commenting on the wheel/tire diameter, given that he listed both the front and rear. On the 10mm narrower front tire specifically, you’re explanation makes sense to me.

Just crazy that the colors they've been showing off all this time are that expensive. They're first come first serve, sure..but 5k on top of the already ridiculous premium for the car?

I thought for sure all this stuff would be standard with the exception of CCB. Interesting to note that the US CS comes with PSS but if you order the 763m for anything else you get PSC2.

Am I reading this correct?

USA-M3 CS comes with PSS standard with no option for Cup 2.

Canadian-M3 CS and M4 CS comes with Cup 2 standard (265/35/19 and 285/30/20) with PSS as no charge option.

Yes, we are getting the same standard and optional tires as in Europe

Where did you guys read that US only gets PSS and not Cup 2’s? I just put in my order at Motorwerks BMW on Saturday right when they got their allocation. And now I’m a little disappointed about not getting Cup2’s LOL

I don't see it anywhere that it mentions PSS tires, I was assuming it would be the same as rest of the world and come with the cup2 as standard equipment.

I am so tempted to pick up a M4 CS in LRG or SMB but I don't think I can live with a DCT.

Look at the photos closely of the tires (Cup sport 2) posted here: Detroit 2018: BMW M3 CS http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1457212 from both LA and Detroit autoshow.

It was in the original US press release. Albeit, it specified 265/35R19 and 285/30R20 sizes for the PSS then.

There was much discussion around this, as to why the M3CS was advertised with PSS as opposed to the M4CS' PSC2. It was later found that the PSS standard is a USA only thing.

Information is so inconsistent. So will it be 255 or 265 and pss or cup2? the mystery continues...

BMW USA is notorious for publishing erroneous information.

My bet is on 255-285 PSS for the US

The document I have regarding allocations specifically says "Performance Tires" with no option to select anything different. This makes me think it will be PSS only for US.

The Pricing Guide states the 763M wheels are black. I wonder if they'll actually be black or if they are going to come in the gunmetal/gray finish that we have been seeing on the M3/M4CS.

I don't know where the cutoff was for me on this as I was justifying it some over a loaded CP car for it being rarer, but the $5k for paint turns me off.

I finally took a closer look at the guide last night, and the following are missing from the M3 CS ZEC Executive package, yet they also do not appear under Options nor are they in they listed as Standard:
  • 248 Heated Steering Wheel
  • 496 Heated rear seats
  • 5DL Side and Top View Cameras
  • 5DP Parking Assistant
So unless I've overlooked them, or these have been erroneously left off the standard equipment list for the M3 CS, they are not available at all for the M3 CS.

Now, the M3 CS is also missing the following from its standard equipment list as compared to the regular M3. I've categorized them by items we'd expect to see missing given the announced content of the M3 CS, and others which cannot be readily dismissed based on that alone:

Expected Omissions:
  • 488 Lumbar support
  • 4AE Adjustable front armrest
  • 4WL Carbon Fiber Interior Trim with Black Chrome highlight
  • 534 Automatic climate control
  • 575 Additional 12-V power sockets
Unexpected?
  • 1CA CO2 relevant vehicles
  • 322 Comfort Access keyless entry
  • 3AP Gray band windshield
  • 653 HD Radio
  • 6VB CCC contribution
  • ZAC BMW Connected App Compatibility
Given these latter discrepancies, it is possible that the Standard equipment list for the M3 CS is simply invalid and should not be trusted at all. For instance, it is strange that 3AP is omitted, and the lack of 322 is somewhat hard to believe. ZAC is a gray area. Could this be due to the lower end head unit and telematics typically used in lower end BMW models which, if I am not mistaken, was featured on the M4 CS?

Also, there are a few options standard on the M3 CS that are not standard on the normal M (I've left off obvious things like DCT and 763M wheels, and the CS main content itself which is 9MR M Sports hand-crafted):
  • 2VC Mobility Kit (the omission of this for the standard M3 is obviously an error in that car's guide)
  • 6CP Apple CarPlay Compatibility
At any rate, I think it is good to have this compiled. Once cars arrive at dealerships we can verify what the real story is. Or perhaps BMW NA will clarify, but based on their past track record for misinformation that never gets fixed, I doubt it.

I was also surprised with the deletion of the 322 Comfort Access, but it has been expressely highlighted in the BMW Canada product bulletin as something that was removed. I have to assume they did it for weight reasons.

As for 4WL Carbon Fibre trim, it has been replaced with the alcantara trim on the dash and centre console.

The deletion of the 4AE lumbar support is not surprising since the CS is getting the CP seats.

It also important to specify that 534 is the 2 ZONE automatic climate control. The CS is still getting an automatic climate control, albeit in a single zone.

I agree that the ZAC Connected App compatibility does not make sense. It means that the ///M Laptimer could not be used in the CS.

I was wondering in the back of my mind if that might be the case. It’s arbitrary IMHO. There are probably dozens of other things they could cut and drop more weight in the process, but those would likely require the creation and testing of some lower tech solution that does not exist. So instead they just drop stuff that does have an alternative in the parts bin.

I put a deposit in for a M3 CS at my dealer on Saturday, they have 2 allocations and I'm #1 on the list.

I have to say, I'm also surprised with the removal of comfort access. I also wish it had the top view cameras. Those are 2 features I love in my 2016.

That said, I can see how those 2 features, along with HD radio (I think it has it's own tuner in the rear if I remember correctly, I know the e92 did), can add a decent amount of weight. The added electronics for these features and antennas for comfort access can add up.

Thanks for posting that.
Regarding comfort access, even if it were included, a portion of it, the trunk kick feature, would not have been functional due to the presence of the CF diffuser. This might have played a role on the decision not to offer it on the CS.
