Alignment shops
So I really don't feel like paying $300 for an alignment at the dealer. I had my M4 lowered and have struggled finding a place that my car can clear the ramp or a place that the sensors can clear the wheel gap. I was super excited to find my local Les Schwab has a drive up machine (no ramp)... after speaking to the advisor he stated he would be upfront about it and that they don't have all the proper tools and recommendations that BMW requires. They do their best but that's it.
Can anyone recommend a shop that has the proper tools and can clear a lowered car? |

Don't think you need speciality tools to align the f8x. Seems like the shop is dodging the job?
What's your location? unfortunately your location doesn't display for mobile users. |

He mentioned weights in the car they don't provide, and tools for the rear wheels... he said they can do the front, no problem. |

Technically you need to put weights on the driver, passenger, rear seats, and trunk I believe. As far as aligning the rears, the toe adjuster is vertical so it is slightly difficult to loosen/tighten the toe adjuster nut but other than that, it isnt too hard.

If anyone can recommend a shop I'd appreciate it... if not BMW has a $60 off which will bring it down to $200 |

Im assuming they use the same alignment machine as we do at our shop, which is the hunter hawkeye. Sensors clamp around the tire and the sensor arms go from 3/9 o clock position to 1/7 o clock position, so if youre too low, the arms hit your fenders before compensating. Best of luck on your search. Most shops(ours included) do not use weights so we compensate camber angles by adjusting them on the more positive end of the specification.

West End Alignment is in Gardena. I'm gonna be going there again soon. Two generations worth of alignment knowledge in that shop. One of the best imo.

I took mine to mod bargains in la habra don't remember now much I paid specifically. It's not TOO far from you either.
Edit: I cannot post their link, but they have a price sheet for all their services on their site. Looks like alignment is between 125-189 |

It depends on what you want them to do and your setup. For MPHAS height adjustment for cross balancing, set front and rear camber with front camber plates and alignment was $350 total iirc. It could have been $340 I honestly forgot.
