Simpson Voyager 2 Recall

Simpson is voluntarily recalling all Voyager 2 helmets. Stop using your Voyager 2 and contact Simpson.

Here is the recall notice

I contacted Simpson and they gave me the following options:
1. Repair helmet and receive a free Iridium shield
2. Exchange for a Bandit
3. Exchange for a Carbon Bandit or Carbon DevilRay for $200 upcharge
4. Exchange for Composite Venator for $150 upcharge
5. Refund

I decided to upgrade to the Carbon Devil Ray since I could get it for ~40% off. After I made my decision I shipped my Voyager 2 back to Simpson (they provided the FedEx label) and one week later my new helmet arrived. They included a pretty sweet helmet carrying bag too. The Carbon Devil Ray is pretty awesome-- it's super lightweight and it looks bad ass. I must admit that I was fairly annoyed at first, but Simpson did a great job correcting this error.
