Just curious...do you know the diameter ? Is it hollow, or solid ?

Im not sure but its noticeably thicker all around.

How hard is it to install? I read that you have to drop the subframe a little for access

Yea you remove upper left control arm and loosen subframe bolts so it would lower a little bit. Its takes time and some jacks and tools but its not rocket science.
