The Corvette stigma is fading fast as driving enthusiasts discover its performance potential and witness just how easy they are to daily drive.

Mulally coming to Ford has cleaned up all the Mustang nonsense and tightened that car up dramatically.

Both cars formerly appealed to older "waxers", old farts who cared more about getting a Hooter's waitress to sit on the hood than enjoy driving the car.

Things are dramatically different now. These are world-class cars that can play in the big leagues against the very best that Europe and Japan can throw at us.

Long may it continue too, the more cool performance cars there are in the world, the better, Jap, Euro, American, Oz or other.

Nice selection and definitely representing many different approaches to the same problem eh.

I'll be looking at three cars: new M3 vs 997.2 GT3 vs M3 CSL.
