Social media is my friend today. My phone hasn't stopped ringing since everyone has seen the pics and they all are sure it was me.

I mean, just because some guy crashed his car into a tree on a public street (where every law of physics says he could only have done so by vastly exceeding the speed limit) or some other guy rolled his in the South African bush (again, almost certainly exceeding the speed limit) and you want to say the driver is somehow to blame? Just because the driver was driving illegally and quite probably beyond the tolerances of the road (and, as evidenced by the fact of the crashes, well beyond his/her abilities), how can you be so judgmental about causation and fault? Maybe it was Loki, huh? Ever think of that? Maybe the Trickster God just decided to have some fun with some lousy humans or was picking on them to piss off Thor or something - who knows? But why do you leap to rational and sensible conclusions about driver error or fault when there are so many other totally implausible supernatural explanations for those crashes? I haven't even mentioned far less likely options like aliens or the illuminati (or Knights Templar, if you prefer). I mean, maybe Kim Kardashian was trying to master the art of astral projection and was off on her 'aim', causing her to appear in those roadways like a very-non-virgin-mary-type-figure, distracting those illegally driving drivers who were clearly out of their talent depth, and SHE is to blame for the crashes? Honestly Lups. Sometimes you just leap to such totally sensible, obvious and almost irrefutable conclusions that I don't know what is wrong with you.........

I'm no expert and I can't say much from that photo, but I have been on a few physics lectures and if I remember correctly, it went something like this: Add power, first frozen roads, and a man (I might have added this later but no female has yet crashed theirs so the rule is solid with the F8x family) and summer tires, shit will happen as a result. I think you have a point with the pole, something hit it I the face and that does not look like it had run his nose to my neighbors ass. I fuck up constantly in many areas of life and lately I've learned to own up to those. I'm assuming knowing how I drive mine that there nigh be an other not perfect specimen among us and by thinking that way it does leave us the possibility open that having the wallet to buy these does not make us above mortal mistakes. To the men of Nw, please make sure the wife has some training also in bad conditions. You might take the wheel always when cats are coming down from the sky, but we are usually the ones hauling family around with us. It's just -3 C here now, and a beauty got crushed. Think how bad it would be if a minivan had taken the same hit.

I'm hoping the odds of him taking the car were so low I my head that that's why I didn't first think if he's okay.

Ouch! You have to give it to BMW. That much damage to the front, but nothing wrong from A pillar all the way to the rear. Could be due to icy roads we had in the last few days. It could be totaled, but the car is so new, so even if it would cost $50K to fix, it would not be declared totaled.

I'm here at the dealership, and oh boy the guy had done good job with it. Story is that it was a 19 year old kid buss stop and a tree. I have new pics but he had had the car less than two weeks.
He's okay I heard. I hope the tree is too.

Parents had bought one bc he got into school. What the hell goes in the minds of parents these days?
I doubt I would ever buy a car to my kids at all, shitty cars teacher respect, mechanical skills and puts the fear of death into them. They sure as hell won't see my keys.

Bicycle for me. I still crashed it once to a moose. The fucker jumped straight in front of me from a bush and I actually drove to it. After that I've kept all brakes in check. Humiliation is the best teacher.

I can't say anything because my hand me down first car was a BMW. It had 100,000+ miles on it, but it was still a BMW. But wow... an M4 for a teenager? I'm glad for the parents that he is OK.
