Or it's the vocal ones that aren't running front plates. Some people feel incredibly strongly about no front plate, so they vocalize that. I have a feeling there may be a decent chunk of people like me who have a front plate because they don't necessarily feel that strongly about it one way or the other so never felt the need to post about it.

I haven't had plates on any of my cars since 2012 and I've got a total of 4 pull overs and 2 tickets in the Seattle area. I'm still planning on running no plates but if I ever do I'd get the STO N SHO. Saw a member with it on here and you can't tell the bracket is there when the plate is off unless you are kneeling down.

X2. I've got the Sto-n-sho, and it works on non-M's as well.

I have only seen one F8x with a front plate, out of I think 20. It was using tow mount.

+1 for Sto n Sho. I installed it yesterday and it works great, but will be looking for a small black keychain ring to replace the silver one so it doesn't stand out as much against the lower black grill. Having been pulled over twice in my past BMWs for no front plate, I didn't want to give cops a free excuse to pull me over.

Redmond PD just pulled over some BMWs on Willows at 4pm today. Same officer I am sure you guys got. Office Chavykin. Anyway he was standing on the side of willows road (northbound by the golf course) and even in traffic where he could not see if they had a plate or not he watched for BMWs and would slow them down and pull them over if they didn't have a front plate. Pulled over a Z4 and and a 3 series, AT LEAST.

I'd say at this point, don't go to Redmond unless you must.

I just ordered the US Millworks tow hook mount. They are a local company and their product is top notch (had one on my E92). I figure with the UW purple plates I may as well get it mounted in front to avoid any trouble.

Same Chavykin that did the report for my accident and later pulled me over and forced me to install a front plate within 1 week...seems like he has BMW in his sights, probably wants one and cannot get it

Running no front plates in Portland area. Never had an issue. I do avoid parking downtown though so metermaid won't ticket.

I just got my car and ordered the sto n sho bracket. Had a few ticket in my mustang for not having one. I'll just keep it in the trunk and put it on if there is an issue. I don't normally park downtown Portland.

Previously ran w/o plates on my e90 and didn't have any issues from Tigard to Portland. I haven't received my plates for my new M3 yet, but will not install the front plates. I'm debating on getting the sto n show, but not sure since PDX doesn't seem to care (except the meter maids).

I've been running without a front plate on my E90 for about 2 1/2 years and have never been pulled over in the car, although I'm expecting it to be a matter of time. Because of that I always have my excuse prepped "someone backed into me while the car was parked and the body shop just replaced the bumper but the license plate holder is back ordered"...not sure if it would work or not but hopefully I don't have to find out.

Given that I ordered my F80 in Sakhir Orange, I figure it'll be smart to have a front plate as the car is already flashy enough and I don't want to give cops a reason to pull me over. My CA suggested I get the plate printed as a vinyl sticker and put it on. I've seen these on exotics in Europe but never over here and was curious if that is even legal here. Does anyone on here know?

Looks like this Porsche has a Vinyl front plate http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...o/IMG_0086.jpg

I work on Willows RD in Redmond and most evenings I see these cops parked on the street or hiding off to the site on the buildings leading up to the roads. Have escaped tickets thus far. Got the sto n sho box in the trunk. Haven't bothered to install until I get busted at least once
