Im with you if im buying the car you can splurge on exec package and get a backup camera from bimmertech and get your own style rims which is almost the price of indy paint. Im loving the individual colors here good stuff.

Doesn't have to have been done on an f8x. Just needs to have been ordered at some point and someone else paid for the r&d.

When I sent my color list to NA there was a color that hadn't been done on the F8x but was done on an individual F10 and my quote was 7500 or so, with the explanation being if the color were done on the car before, a non BMW color, then it's 5k. If not R&D applies. Even asked if the F82 vs F80 came into play and was told yes, had to be done on the specific body before to only be 5K.

Who knows though, the entire individual process seems to be so cryptic.

Man I keep looking at this thread and the voices in my head keep saying, damn let's trade it in and get it!! It's a nice build. But I really want it, minus the 2 extra doors...
