Naw. Those colors are old and played out, and they don't add any distinction to the F8X line-up. They were smart to bring in SO, YMB and AY for the M-only color line-up.

I thought BMW Individual would only do BMW colors (or BMW versions of colors). I know there are a few "Ferrari Rot" cars but to Ferrari its Rosso Corsa. Was it difficult to get this through corporate?

So they'll do a Porsche signature color but NOT Techno Violet??

I do love porsche mexico blue, but next to yas IMHO, hard to justify that premium in cost. Just my take... beautiful combo, nonetheless!

Techno violet is made of something that is not good for the environment. That is why it has been discontinued and will not be produced again.

You're gonna have to deal with it.

Perhaps lobby for techno violet II instead or go with Daytona violet

OP, Very well done.

You can request any color you'd like and BMW will look into the logistics involved to produce the paint. If its feasible, it can take 3-5 weeks for them to do the R&D which they pay for. It was not too difficult as Sin_City_Mike did a great job of following up throughout the process and making sure it would be a first. At the time BMW said only one dealer had inquired about the color but did not follow thru. It was a clear signal for me to continue with the build.
