I was quoted MSRP was $315CAD each ($1260CAD total) at my dealer for the Ti tips and paid $265CAD each (installation included) with the BMW Club rebate. So $1700CAD sounds right for the 4 CF tips.

I have couple of questions.
1. For people who didn't buy/install at BMW dealer, does the shipped box fit into the trunk so that you could carry it to the shop? 2. Also, from other thread ( http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1146607 ), it seems like as long as I have an official invoice, even if I buy it from some other source and get it installed at an independent shop, BMW dealerships will warranty the exhaust in case of cracked/fallen carbon tips. Could anyone confirm it? Thanks. |

2) Warranty is pretty clear and states that parts must be installed by a BMW Center for them to be covered under vehicle warranty. I don't think the parts come with a separate warranty and something like a lost tip does not mean mfg defect. It will most likely be faulty installation. Also, on my previous F30, BMW refused to replace a bad MPE because I had the solid chrome tips replaced with CF tips after having scratched one of chrome ones coming out of a very steep driveway.

[QUOTE=CanAutM3;17411893]I am loving the sound of mine . I've now had it for over 2000 miles and the sound keeps getting better.
I went for the Ti tips, so I posted some pictures as a comparison to the CF tips on the the same SS/CF diffuser background for those undecided [/QUOT Your pictures convinced me to go with that setup. Looks amazing with a little more contrast between the tips and the diffuser. Getting it installed tomorrow on YMB M3. Thanks! |

My god this thing is seems loud. It is just some kind of resonance that makes it seem so loud with the windows down at lower rpm (1500-3000), or is it just that loud? It makes me feel bad for those Im driving around in a neighborhood.

Do we have to cut stock exhaust to fit M Performance exhaust ? And how am i carry the stock exhaust to home after installation ? Does it have clamps to divide exhaust 2 parts to carry easily at trunk ?

It's all one piece. You'll want to find a friend with a truck, or ask the shop/dealer to cut the stock exhaust farther down the pipes in multiple pieces.

got the MPE installed yesterday, hands down the best thing ive done since I bought my m4, sounds very natural , its not too loud but just loud enough, bit more throatier and more burbles, love it, cant wait for it to get better like they say... my question is I'm finding my car going bit faster now, can anyone tell me if it adds any power gain? or am i just feeling the 8kg less difference in weight compared to stock?,. I've driven my m4 everyday for more than a year now, so I'm definitely not imagining it. lol

BMW does not offer a replacement or M-Performance midpipe. No power gains in doing so.

Always referred to it as a connecting pipe since you still have to cut the stock exhaust (doesn't bolt to downpipes).
