On my way to be reunited!

Waiting at ATL for my connecting flight to Brunswick to pick up my F80. Shipped her out the first week of June from the UK and it's now ready for pick up here CONUS.

So excited, I've missed her a ton! I have a 9 hour drive back home to get reacquainted.

Dang, no love? Can't be excited for a brother?

J/k, it's all good. What's important is that the car is now safe in the garage. Nine hours along state roads, minimal interstates. Long day, but a fun one.

Still got UK plates!

Oh, and got to see where all the BMWs come in to port at Brunswick. Saw a good number of F8x's in the lot.

More pics please! Looks like Alpine White on black Competition wheels? Mine is sitting at port in Bremerhaven now and wish I can drive out there to pick it up lol.

How did they let you pick up a US car in Canada?

Ah, I actually picked it up in Brunswick, Georgia. I'm in the military and bought this while stationed in the UK. I've had it since last September, but was without it since June when I moved back to the States! It was a painfully long wait, but I'm just happy to have her back!

Car is AW with black Merino extended, 6MT, ZCP with 437M, and Exec. Pretty vanilla build, but I absolutely love it.

Congrats! Does your state require a front plate? My car is on the way after doing my ED. I require a front plate but I'm debating on leaving the euro plate on there and risking running with no plate.

No, my state does not. Thankfully, the dealer in the UK didn't drill holes. The front plates is on double sided tape.

My state requires a front plate, but I haven't used one in many, many years and I've never had a problem. So when my M4 was redelivered after my ED last year, my dealer left the Euro plate on the front. He thought I'd like it and it was a nice gesture, but I had it removed. I thought it was better to go with no plate than to use the Euro plate and to call attention to it and tempt fate.

Brunswick, GA - makes sense now!

Would love to see more side profile pics of your car. I have an Alpine White w black 666m wheels on order and am having a hard time finding pics. I also went with 6MT!

Yeah, it had it's pros and cons. Tough to pass people since you can't see around them, good for moving over as far as possible on those tight two-way roads! It was fun taking it to the mainland. Lot of confused looks by people when they saw UK plates, but a LHD car.

I'll try to grab some, but they're 437s, not 666. Without knowing where I would be stationed, I didn't want to go with 20" option. Glad I didn't, the roads in Mississippi aren't the greatest. I think the black 666s looks great, though.

Glad to see more 6MT owners. I know they say the DCT is better suited for the F80, but when it came time to order I just couldn't do it! Looks like there will be a day in the not too distant future when MT will be gone in new production cars (at least for high performance cars), so I want to enjoy them until they die out.
