I'm currently building an M4 track car (brakes, suspension, seats/harnesses, rear cage, wheels/tyres plus a few other bits, bm3 stage 1).

I've budgeted for cooling upgrades including charge cooler, heat exchanger and transmission cooler.

Most of the track days I do in the UK or Europe will be max 30-35c outside temps. I currently have an e46 m3 full track car and usually do 30min sessions of around 15-20laps depending on the track vs my stock nissan gtr road car which sometimes goes to track and does 4 laps before it's overheating

Just looking for consensus on the cooling side - are all three upgrades needed/recommended?

I've seen many track enthusiasts state the standard cooling is fine but see quite a few of the above builds have the cooling mods.

thanks in advance

I have been tracking my F82 for about 2 years now up in Canada.
Stock Engine, stock tune, stock intake, 6spd 2018 Base Honda civic + MPE Exhaust
Ground Control Coils + Top Plates + Hawk HP+ Pads + some home made aero.

Out of the 29xxx kms on my odometer ~10k are on track.
I tracked in outside temperatures ranging from 6C-40C, 20 min sessions on a small tight technical track ( top speed 176km/h - max 3r gear pinned to red line)

The bulk of the 20 minutes I'm on it at max, except 1st warmup lap and last cool down lap of course.

I have never seen oil T go over 111C, Water over 92C and intake over 50C ever -(RaceChrono +OBD2 Thingy)

Generally the car chills around 100C Oil, 88C Water and 40C Intake +/- few degrees here and there.

This summer we had plenty of 32C outside lapping days in full sun where i have done up to 9x 20min sessions back to back (20 mins apart), and never seen any signs of this F82 not being able to keep itself cool.

This car is a cooling monster, I'm curious to know what it would take to overheat it.

Nice track package!

Did you need 12 mm front spacer to clear MCS even with 10 inch ET25 front wheel? MCS 1wnr on the way!

Thank you! No I didn’t need any spacer actually. I just wanted them a little more outside for appearance. The rear has some rubbing though but I think I just hit a curb too hard.
