After some miles on these, I'm pleased to say these pads seems to perform as well as stock, at least on the street. I will say I noticed less initial bite, but hardly notice it now. Perhaps they have bedded in a bit, or I'm just used to it. I did (finally) get to push the car through some twisties yesterday and they performed quite well, although I haven't pushed the stock brakes to really compare. I do notice some noise from the rear when cold, but I did forget to put brake lube on the back of the rear pads, and it goes away with a little heat anyway. Oh, and the wheels stay cleaner too. Definitely well worth it for a street pad.

I've had the new pads on for a couple weeks now, they feel great.
I rather prefer the less bitey feel of the new pads, braking is more fluid.
I too get that initial squeal when backing out of my spot and coming to a stop in the morning.
It's just the one time though, after that no noise what so ever.

Same thing with my car, I read a few other people had this issue, some don't. I know my mechanic installed them properly with brake grease, not sure why this happens. My car is parked in a parking structure and I don't drive it daily so it may be dust. OE brakes never made a sound. Only hear when initially backing up when brakes are cold.

Is anyone else curious about the Stoptech pads also sold on rockauto? They are under the performance category whereas the Powerstops are under daily driver.
CENTRIC 30916090 StopTech Sport Brake Pads F
CENTRIC 30916560 StopTech Sport Brake Pads R
http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/b...brake+pad,1684

If anyone can comment on these that would be great! Looks like the rears for the powerstops are sold out for now.

Sorry for the old bump but are these the street performance pads you are referring to?
