Best dash cam....

Looking to pick up a dash cam that has great picture, front and back but without the driver assist/lane change alarms. Thinkware p100 elite looked alright, til I saw a video review and there's some very annoying alerts that happen when someone comes too close, and apparently it chirps at you for your speed (personal pet peeve, I need not be reminded Im speeding because its a conscious action if so ). I can't find any info that states you can turn off these features, but maybe someone can suggest a model they like?

The Thinkware Q800 and the Blackvue DR900S seem to be the top 2 dashcams I've seen.

I had the F770 in my last car and all those annoyances you mentioned can be turned off in settings and I'm sure it's that way for the new Q800 and with Blackvue dashcams. So those shouldnt be a concern for you.

I've the Blackvue 750 2 channel and that works great for me, no issues. Great quality.

Another vote for thinkware. I’m running a two channel F800 pro set-up and am very happy with it.

As much as I like my F800Pro, I really hate how it either talks too much, or not enough. The F770 was much better in that you could set it to only tell you events that happened during parking mode. The F800Pro will only tell you that if you listen to all the other startup garbage (GPS connected, connected to a smartphone, ect.), or you get nothing at all if set to silent.

Another vote for BlackVue here. I've used the DR650s-2ch in the past and currently use the DR900s-2ch. Super clear, no lane change assist, and you can customize which alerts - if any - you want to hear. If you like, it'll be completely silent no matter what. You can also set it to not have any status lights on either.

+1 on the Blackvue DR900S-2CH with B124X and B124E battery packs. If you can swing it - you will not be disappointed.

I went with the Blackvue 2 channel. Something to keep in mind, their SD cards suck. The camera is warrantied for 12 months but the SD card is only 6. Mine crapped out just after 6 months.

You need an SD card that can handle the heat and the constant recording and overwriting.

Blackvue 750 and the 900 are very good dashcams. I had both in the past. Upgraded from 750. if you are in a budget go for the Blackvue 750. you will be happy with it.

Agreed; a coworker who got the same DR900 I have got their larger SD card and it's failed a few times now. The Samsung Pro Endurance I got has been flawless.

I don't know about best, but for convenience I am using Escort M1. I have my Escort Max 360 hardwired, and the bracket M1 comes with allows one connection for both units.

i'm using the 2 chanel top of the line thinkware i think its an 800 pro of some sort. latest one.
you can turn all the lane assist BS off. it has a great parking mode. Also suggest using the cellink battery for parking mode running. pretty nice setup. people don't bother my car anymore.

Totally agree. I run a Thinkware Q800 front and rear camera. The warnings are annoying but as mentioned you can switch them off. Picture quality is superb and parking mode is really good. Only issue i found is you need to mount the rear camera away from the digital aerial installed in the rear window or it causes reception problems.

I haven't had any problems with the rear camera. Mine is connected with a cable though. Is there a wireless version?

No mine is also cable connected, but the DAB reception is poor when the camera was mounted top centre of window. I found out after a bit of research that a few other people were experiencing the same thing due to the DAB aerial being mounted in the top part of window. Not sure whether its a UK thing with the digital reception being patchy but as soon as the camera was unplugged the reception did not drop out.
