Introduction new M3 F80 AW/SO in PDX
In January, I bought my first M3 e90 and loved it. Two months later, I bought the awesome F80 from Kuni here in PDX.
Alpine White Sakhir Orange DCT, M Adaptive Suspension Exec package, LED package, Drivers Assistance, 19" Black wheels Upcoming mods - Tint, usual black/ carbon fiber cosmetic mods, suspension and some coding for the Euro dazzle lights, etc. Let me know who's in PDX - Will be at Portland C&C soon! |

Very clean shots! LCI is the best thing that could have happened to the F80. Hopefully BMW will start implementing LED's standard on future models of their 3 series lineup!

I didn't see any nice cars when I went to Portland lol. Seems like all the hipsters out there didn't care too much about having nice cars.
Nice car though. |

Very nice! Hope to see it around town sometime. Or maybe one of the summer BMW meets! I've seen a white m3, but don't think it was yours at Zupans off Macadam a few times.

Congrats on the new ride! I picked my LSB M3 up in Jan as well. Live in the Pearl so I might see you around.

Sweet!
I've been thinking about picking up a CPO E90. How would you compare the two having gone from one directly to the other? Is it worth waiting a bit for F80s to start appearing on the CPO market? |

In my opinion, these are two very different cars. I'll try to provide my personal experiences with both: E90 - the naturally aspirated V8 engine is just frickin awesome. The power and 8,200 RPM redline is exhilarating. The sound is unparalleled as well. The styling is still current and the equipment is still advanced compared to cars from 2008-current. As a daily driver, you know that your driving an M car due to the engine and driving characteristics. Plus the gas gauge goes quick cause this car is thirsty! F80 - this is just a nicer, newer car all around. The power is there, but the design, styling and technology is superior. I personally love the larger body style and aggressive stance of the fender flares and 437 wheels. Oh and the power is more instantaneous compared to the previous generation. As a daily driver (in efficient mode), it can feel like a tame like a normal 3 or 5 series, but you can "unleash the beast" by pressing your M button and stomping on the gas! Best thing about it is that gas mileage improves over the e90. The downside? Just the sound and driving characteristic of the inline TT 6 vs the NA V8.... Back to your original question, both are very different cars. Either way you go, you would be making the right choice. If you can afford to go straight into an F80, I say wait or do it when it appears in the CPO market. However, you can be like me and get an e90 now to see if you like it first. You will be happy with either choice.
