M4 Vs. C63s Coupe

Some preliminary comparison pictures.

I try to match the angles as best I can ... not perfect ... but very indicative.

On it's own ... the merc looks awesome ... classy, luxurious and spaceship like ... similar to its bigger S63 coupe brother

But compared side by side with the M4 ... there's no question that the M4 is the more sporty and youthful of the two ...

The M4 will age well into the classics ... the same way the W204 did ...

*Pictures are rather large ... best to zoom out your browser ... lol

Thanks for doing this, great comparo.

While the C63S coupe is much more aggressive looking than the sedan, I still find the M4 more attractive

Both are attractive cars. The C63 flares look more aggressive. Similar to how the M3 rear width looks more aggressive than the M4.

Great job, thanks! Choose one, choose the other, there is no loser here IMO.

So much drama about two fucking cars lol. C'mon people relax. IMO, the M4 front and rear are just about perfect (though I wish the powerdome was bigger like my E90 for more visual kick). I like the nice wide c63amg front fascia equally--I really need to see it in black! The rear of the C63 will either look epic in person or ass..I really can't tell from the pictures. The C63's interior is richer but two major fails 1) I hate that stuck on screen; even in person it just doesn't look right. MB should have stuck the screen like they did in the revised E class. 2) I'm one of the idiots that likes the ///M illuminated seats. No one is going to fail by choosing either car performance wise, but If I had to buy right now, I'd go with an Individual M3 because I'm more comfortable with the DCT (quirks and all) and the BMW visually just looks cleaner to me.

This is the modern version of the battle between the W208 CLK55 AMG and the E46 M3. Likely same long term result.

To be honest, I'd take this over the M4 any day of the week. Especially when you compare the insides of both cars. BMW interiors are just dated-looking. And too much cheap hard plastic everywhere. People say it's classy (mostly on this forum, lol), but I just see old. Like they're a couple generations behind. Pretty sad.

And 285/30/20's in the rear? With the coupe being tangibly faster thatn the sedan (as it should be), I think we have a winner.

But I did just read that MB is already working on the C-Class refresh and it's supposed to have the full digital gauge cluster like on the S-Class. Hmmm...

Agreed... the C63S coupe is a BIG improvement over the sedan but I prefer the M4 (mainly because of the weird rear tacked on roof piece and droopy rear end). Other than that, I love the stance, the width, the angles, etc.

Had they put a real transmission in it (a DCT like they have in the GT or even the CLA) it would have been a real contender for my dollars (notwithstanding its weight). I just can't get past the MCT transmission after my last C63... maybe I'm overweighting it too much but it really is not the same (or as good) as the DCT.

Wow... Thanks for the laugh.
Not trying to be funny. The CC isn't a bad looking car, you just don't want your $80k coupe resembling it.

I think the rear lights also have a 991 911 look too just a bit taller. Hope you find that funny too.

The interior is beautiful in my opinion - I just don't care for the exterior design as much.

It's ok, we can disagree on a subjective matter.

So why not put your money where your mouth is and trade your e92 in on one? I mean if you love these Mercs so much why not get one?

I said the same thing about the Cc. It just visuallydoesnt flow. I can tell the designers made a AMG GT style rear end and the boss said no looks to simular change. And you get this abomination.

Every account of the CLA DCT transmission I've read is that's its jerky and not very good. I've heard the AMG GT DCT iteration is much improved though; I'm not sure why they couldn't put one in the C63.

Like the color. This angle just happens to be the one where I'm not sure how I like the rear. I think all this Accord stuff is mostly overblown, but at this angle there is an unflattering comparison to Honda's finest lol.

WTF is that sliver of painted body part between the roof and the rear window? Looks odd as hell to me.
