I did this mod as well and it’s a nice touch. It matches the other silver trim in the car as well.

ok some more photos, like I have said I had to do some of the stuff when I can't find someone or can't find someone in a reasonable time period. Like I hated the plastic on the back of the door handles, wanted it leather.

I have tried many things, some photos reflect that. I did most of the fitment, including seats. They need heat gun and some adjustments but I will do them later as my colored seat backs will be replaced with leather ones.

Certainly has- the look is definitely loud, but I like the way it came out. I really liked the look of Porsches and VW's with the plaid inserts, so I looked up this company called Relicate for fabrics/leather options.. would highly recommend them to anyone looking to upholster their interior. If you are in the NY/NJ/Conn area, Joni at Prestige Auto Leather did the door cards, back seats, and shift/e-brake boots. He's a great guy, does a lot of BMW work specifically amongst other cars.

Thank you, still room for some improvements. I think too much carbon inside now and I will replace some with some other ideas soon.

f80tanz

Was going to ask you send more photos in another thread lol. Great job like others mentioned good to see uncommon, creativite things. I have also purchased some stuff from Relicate, like you said they are good at many things.

If you plan to keep the car, I would definetly go for other bits as well, especially the door card base in leather or the leathers that look very close to real leather. It turns the interior of the car into something else.

Additionally to the ones who are looking for new ideas and additions : Sides of the dash, extra storage ( if you have full leather dash) seat button covers, middle center cup holder are the ones I recommend you to start.

Thank you @deli333, much appreciated. I enjoy seeing your attention to detail, and also not overdoing the yellow on the interior- it's the just right amount to make it pop.

I will take a look at the door card item you mentioned, and have it on my list to refinish the little piece above the door card which is just plastic. My OCD drives me crazy that BMW has this black high gloss finish on the front dash, and then left it plain-plastic on the doors. See pictures below of what I'm talking about. Plan is to match them to the black gloss of the dash. Small item, but I like the detail changes such as that.
