To your post above: I registered to relearn how to write in English, stayed for the information, and now for the fun of this place too.

A truck threw a stone from the opposite lane, and I was going a bit faster than was recommended. All good, but I like looking at it. Peter II and I have history.
Peter I got a seagull in the lights in Wyoming, so this is a tradition with my road trip cars apparently.

I stayed because I can't quit your posts. They are too addicting and challenging to decipher sometimes. And the fact that they enrage some lesser developed members makes them even more entertaining.

I used to aim for perfection. Now I aim for being happy every day and every minute I can. That makes my car the messiest thing in the world, but at least every mile mattered. Last edited by Lups; 11-25-2014 at 10:03 AM.. |

I went on a sunday fun run and a gtr with drag veered off into the emergency lane kicking up every single rock/pebble/dirt it ran over. My friend m6 grand couple had his windshield broken.

As an additional data point, my daily driver is an F30 328 that's two years old. With 15k on the odo, I have yet to have any issues with chips or cracks in the windshield.
That said, I tend to keep always keep two to three car lengths of open space between myself and the car in front of me. |

No respect for clean roads or a job well done. Trash, nails, rocks, pebbles and construction debris. High unemployment and high welfare payouts but no street sweepers and no leadership from elected officials. Muni budgets a wreck and in debt. Go figure. It's a war zone out there.

It is such a joke nothing can be done to improve our driving roads. it truly makes no sense to own a nice car in Michigan. This state is shit, no matter how many Pure Michigan commercials they make. |

I haven't replaced mine for 2 years and I'm fine, but then I don't daily drive it, but do put about 10K miles a year on it. Had it on my RRS, GT3, and Land Cruiser with no complaints. Worry free driving. I just wish Metropolitan detail weren't the only authorized dealers in the Seattle area because they're charging more than other areas like Socal for the same product/labor. But those guys are cool so whatever.

Just made an appt with one of the local tinting/clear bra shops; $250 installed. Anyone paying much above this is being severely ripped off because the material costs are the same everywhere.

$50 aren't pennies, but these guys are qualified installers and i understand that clearplex is a fairly tricky thing to install. whatever. bottom-line, get a trusted dealer to install your clearplex. i'm happy with it and wouldn't go without it.

You can in fact buy the film for self install purposes. If anyone has installed window film or a 'clear bra' type product, I'm not sure it would be that difficult. Bish |
