It's the software updates that I question, as I actually prefer how the 2016 one drove, and wondering if the software updates mentioned by 'dopper99' above plays an effect to this?

you can see the higher torque in the older car. I think BMW torque limited it in a similar way as they did in the CP car for later cars. For the purpose of getting the power down better hence being less tail happy. Notice the 2017 car is similar to the CP, describing what you've said.

This is certainly good information, I thought it was just me over thinking. Does anyone know if the older software can be installed by BMW - bit of a long shot I know?

Just purchased a 2018 F80 Competition. Born on date of 11/17. Dealer confirmed it has the carbon fiber drive shaft.

Carbon drive shaft broke

Today, while I was driving my car after the faster departure, my carbon PTO shaft broke from the car, did anyone else suffer from it? are they really more fargil built have a problem? to choose better metal? I noticed that all the bmw m4 cars from 2018 have a metal cardan shaft, could you have given them up because it broke too fast?
they also happened to break? carbon shaft
