F8X 14.9" Headunit screen!

Looks like there's a new screen out for the F8X has anyone tried it or have any experience with it? Looking to upgrade my screen there's currently a 10.25 inch upgrade but no new functionality compared to this screen which runs android/carplay. I also like how seamless it looks. Thoughts?

To me it looks way too non-OEM. I’m all for OEM+ but not these obvious third-party products. Just my opinion.

From the specs it looks like this screen has a much higher resolution than the 10.25 so I'm sort of leaning on getting it

Get it.

It’s transform the interior and offers serious bang for your buck.

Movies look even better

For those with the larger screen. I’m just looking to add Apple CarPlay. It looks like people charge $300 to code it in on my current unit but there are companies with screen upgrades and CarPlay baked in for $300-400.

Thoughts?

Does not look well integrated to the dash as does not match curvature just looks stuck on and does not line up with the HVAC on the dash as looks off centre and has gaps. Whilst the screen is big just viewing out the windshield also looks restricted to the right. Would not say this is OEM+
Also what does it look like from the back?

Agree with this too. I'm sure this display is very impressive and nice panel, it just is not a good fit for the F8x dash.

...which makes the BimmerTech adapter for the G3x/F90 10.25" display so impressive. The adapter makes the larger display look like it was always meant for the F8x platform and thus ... OEM+.

Yeah their dynamic was great. On opposite ends of the law and wanted to k*ll each other but still had mutual respect. You don't see character development like that in movies anymore.

Now that I’ve had the G30 10.25 screen installed for a few weeks it actually feels oem.

The real test is when you get into a F8x with the orginal small screen and it feels like a step back in time!

I finally got my Renn line mag safe charger so I’m all set not for another 100k km

Looks amazing! I agree that the G30 screen feels like it should have always been in the F8x!
