Your deal depends on the discount off MSRP. Residual is constant, based off the month but virtually the same thing usually hovers between 58-60%.

False I know a thing or two. I own my vehicles but explain. So if his vehicle is let’s say 70k after all incentives/rebates and the buyout is 43k. Isn’t that 27k difference paid over the lease term as payments and initial downpayments ?

He was right - you’re clueless. Residual is based off of msrp. You don’t know what deal he got or what he paid.
