Interesting combination

I own E46M3 and E90M3. Recently drove F30 335 and can only imagine how good F80 must be. So this has now been added to my list to complete the M3 trilogy (I do think G80 looks awesome but F80 gets all the fun cheaper).

In my experience, I struggle to find any attachment to boring colours and end up spending just as much money maintaining them, only to finally switch up for interesting combo.

Particularly interior when paired with exterior.

For me here’s the one I own:
- E46 - LSB and PY
- E90 - orange/ yellow
- G80 - launch color is awesome (green with caramel)

My question is, what’s a colour combination that stands out in F80 generation? Other than black/ white/ silver.

Welcome.

If you think the G80 looks “awesome”, the F80 must be a Zonda in your eyes.

For me, it's Silverstone, San Marino Blue, Avus Blue, or Twilight Purple exterior. Cloth seats on any of them, with an honorable mention for a brown leather interior.

My favorite color combo EVER was my E46 M3 in Carbon Black Metallic and Cinnamon interior. I think it's the best look still. My current F80 M3 is Mineral White with the "orange" (really red) interior, and I have to say this is a very close second and seems to be a popular choice.

Just choose something YOU love

Every generation of M3 has a particular individual that’s attached the point that goes too far. In E46 world, it’s the best ever. In E90, same. F80, yup. Fact is each of these generations has a dual personality and G80 carries that. One day it’ll be called “the best”

I’m leaning towards AY and Imola on F80.

Is there an interior colour on F80 that comes close to Caramel that we saw on E39?

It's worth noting that Audi / Porsche started the nardo grey trend, then we started seeing grigio on f80's and everyone started going ballistic over them around 2018. I remember seeing the nardo/Grigio (not sure what bmw calls it specifically) on the M3CS in 2018 and thinking it's the best color ever, and a lot of the car community did too.

Today, nardo is kind of overhyped, looks really good but a bunch of people wrapped their M's nardo and I see too many of them in the New York City area that aren't OEM individual.

YMB and Austin Yellow are F80 classics and much better than the new San Paulo Yellow.

I’m a fan of any color that’s not white, black, grey, or silver. SO and YMB are my favorites.

Champagne Quartz Metallic is the best I've seen in person. Truly incredible. Photos really don't do it justice.

+1 CQM is amazing. Almost bought one when I saw it on a rainy day at the dealership. Unreal how cool it looked.

Ended up going with Silverstone Metallic II which in my opinion is one of the best colors on the F80. Makes the amazing body lines stand out and is a very unique silver. Plus the carbon goodies pop! Couldn't be happier.

So many cool colors of the F8x, its seriously tough to choose.

Austin Yellow is mine. people always think it's a special color or wrapped. for me I've always enjoyed the color since the launch reveal. Silverstone and Laguna seca are pretty sick too

edit: sorry for the flipped images tried to fix it. failed.
