Something tells me the bump in HP will come for MY17. No way the cylinder head is different on just zcp cars.

Other question is what did they really do to the diff? All my cars get kw's so this is a no go for me. Damn i want those seats!

As my M4 goes into production in 3 weeks, Australia put in a special request to Germany to have the comp wheels switched with the upgraded black 19's however i got told this morning that Germany said no.

I have still gone ahead with the comp pack but i might just have to source other wheels if the 666 doesn't grow on me..

Agreed, If the wheels were 19" id be all over them because I think they're pretty good looking. Can't do 20 " rims with low profile tires in Chicago. They won't last a month

No sense at all. Unit cost + Labor cost to retrofit + waste of what you already paid for make it a sure no go. Then add re-coding of the car to accept many of the parts and it's much better to wait until it's time to trade up
BMW will be releasing many of the parts for retrofit as part of their performance catalog. And yes, the power bump is purely software, nothing to do with the cylinder head...
Will these be available concurrent with the launch of the package?

The Competition Pack comes with Adaptive Suspension as standard, slight increase in hp, electronic diff, gloss exterior trims, redesigned mirrors, 20" wheels like it or not, sportier exhaust, better response and grip... This is a no brainer option to have guys! All this for about $4000 US.

In the E92 Competition Package was nothing but just rims... right? I would get the package and resell the 666 rims for like $500.00 LOL!!

Looks like a good package and I like how the 20's fill out the guards giving the car a "lowered" look. I would just powder coat them black

The CP is $5500 in the US, $7900 in Canada. Mirrors are the same as the standard M3/4.

It does remain quite pricey and is not necessarily an obvious choice for everyone since what it includes is a combination of hits and misses.

GOOD rims, struts, springs with ride height drop, dsc tweaks, dct tweaks i believe, and probably more im forgetting... sways? All for under 3k I believe.

I liked the e92 package more. These seats and seat belt stripes do nothing for me.

No DCT and sways.

ZCP for the E92 did absolutely nothing for me. I loved the rims, but ended up getting rid of them after 2 months on my Civic M3. IMHO, you still needed spacers for those wheels to look great and they weren't forged.

The drop was not low enough for me, so I ended up getting Swift springs which IMO looked better than the stock ZCP drop. Then I got Benvo to code Euro-MDM which was more aggressive than the US ZCP. I really don't feel like I missed anything at all personally.

If I can end up doing the same thing with the F80, I'll might skip it too. But it remains to be see what upgrade does what, and what will be retrofitable. Like you, I'll prob end up going coilovers in the distant future anyway, so EDC is not a huge bonus for me.

18 inch vs 20 inch
= 275x18/40 = 677mm ' 285x20/30 = 680mm

Will fill out the wheel-well by extra 1,5 mm. Almost no difference.

I was told an announcement is coming in the next 30-60 days and they will be available by summer. Curious as to what some of the forum insiders have heard on this though.

Huh? Then the US spec is not the same as Euro specs?

I agree. While the CP on the F8X is more comprehensive than it was on the E9X, it offers much less "value".

The CP on the E9X was $2500 in the US. EDC and 19" wheels added up to $2200, so you could have all the CP goodies for $300. That was a no brainer.

In Canada, the CP was $2900. EDC and 19" wheels added up to $3200. So we, in fact, got all the CP goodies plus a $300 cash back . Now that's value .

Journalists tend to do a lot of blatant mistakes.

It is nowhere mentioned in the BMW documentation that the CP is getting new mirrors. Further, it is the EXTERIOR trim that is getting the high gloss treatment, not the interior.

Which doesn't matter in the US as we get it standard already.

BTW - Is it just me or is it stupid HUD isn't included in ZCP & Exec (obviously only charged in one if you get both). I would love to build a more performance targeted M4 with minimal options, zcp, carbon structure seats, etc but it's stupid you cannot get HUD without exec..

I wish HUD was a standalone option. I'd probably opt for it

True for the window trim, but the US is also getting all the other blacked out bits (kidney grills, side gills, exhaust tips and rear badge) as part of that CP "gloss black" trim.

ZCP really is a mixed bag this time. I don't like the black rear badge and exhaust tips, the wheels; and the seat belts and seats are meh. But I like all the other tweaks enough that I'd still probably get it.
