Cheers.
Well we ran out of stuff to say about the color, and the sound, and no one wanted to talk about the weather, so this is it. Let's enjoy and see how long it takes before we're fighting over this.

Allthough, I do care how big (preferably how small) it is because it's gonna be in my pocket 99.9% of the time.
Exactly. People here are such babies. I don't even remember the last time I actually looked at my key (..and I have a key case on it anyway). I have Comfort Access so I rarely need to access it.

bummer part of the F8x is that CA is only currently part of the exec pkg. would be nice to just have the key in my pocket or in the general vicinity (i.e. backpack).

I could not live without CA after having it. One strong reason (+HUD) I'm getting the Exec.

I just hope it works better than in Audi. I'm always opening the door multiple times before the locks get message. Annoying thing, that is.

My only hope for the key is that is flatter than audis. Otherwise I don't care the least (and unlike the paint, I'm determined to keep it that way).

It works great. How thick is the Audi key?

I would say it's 1,5 cm, and a bad design. Much older VW (2007) had nicer keys and this just looks like something Ford would put out. Sorry Ford people, I meant no harm.

http://www.autotechnix.co.uk/userima...Dash%20Key.JPG the one I used to have

And now I'm back to this: http://www.noimmo.lt/content/images/...or_www2248.jpg

The way I carry them makes the shape in the first better, but really, this is the worst of third world problem of all times. I'll just buy a purse for the first time in a decade.

Audi has a better key fob for his RS model:

In this case has a carbon fiber shell but it cames standard in black.

BMW has to differentiate the key fob for his top models

Yeah, that's true, but Audi can keep the key wins, and we'll just drive cars one wants to drive.

Did you get the whole safety speech before buying?

These days I am less inclined to want CF everywhere, so that key is unappealing to me (..but I get your point). The CF roof on the ///M is more than enough for me. The interior trim is doing too much for my tastes, but it's not a deal breaker. I'd rather have carbon leather though.

Not that I will get out of my pocket very often (most likely) ... it is still very boring, nothing for an M sportscar IMO. I would like to see a more tech-version of a key with M colors on it... always those controllers searching to save every penny!

I have to say that BMW could have done a lot better... where's the sportiness that wants me to actually put the key on the table in a restaurant?

I'm sorry I have to ask. What is the purpose of that?
