carbon fiber weaves?

I'm wondering, if anyone has seen or is currently using the 2x2 and 1x1weaves both at the same time. Reason I'm asking is I have the mp 2x2 front splitter covers and rear spoiler, but there is a lip and diffuser that's 1x1 that I prefer over all that is currently out. I've never seen a 1x1 weave in person, so I'm not sure if there is a big difference in how they look. And would they look odd being used together?

Do you have a CF roof? That's 1x1.

Yes, MG car though, which is pretty much unnoticeable. And I didn't know it was a 1x1, hell I forgot the roof was CF.lol

2x2 looks better but the roof is 1x1 ---- but like mentioned I forget the roof is cf as well. hahahahha. I would match the 2x2 if I were you.

Go 2x2 because all of the M Performance parts come in 2x2 and you may add some of them in the future

Yeah I have the 2x2 splitters and rear spoiler, but I like how Mode Carbon's front lip and #2 rear diffuser looks. Just wondering how tacky two different patterns would look, if at all.

OP, I too have been in deep thought about this as well. I recently just added the carbon shifter and the surrounding area on it as well. Looks beautiful, and it matches the 2x2 weave on the carbon trim which came from the factory. NOW, I am stuck trying to figure out if I should get 2x2 weave to match all the BMW M parts, OR if I should try to match the roof 1x1 weave.....

So they made all of their M perf CF parts 2x2 instead of 1x1 to match the roof why???

I have the CF roof and M perf CF trunk spoiler and I was getting the M perf diffuser, I never noticed they don't match?

Not sure why they did that. I don't think it's a structural thing.

I have no idea why they did it that way, especially because to me the 2x2 weave looks way better. I have the CF spoiler and mirror caps.. the diffuser is next. So beautiful!

So the roof is 1x1 but I guess it's harder to tell being a roof! I love the CF spoiler and I am getting the diffuser as soon as the m perf is available although the RKP is awesome it looks exactly the same and is more expensive. I saw the akro on an M4 in San Diego last night and it definitely looked good!

Nice! I didn't do the mirror caps because I have BSM and I think it looks a lot better on other colors but I have the spoiler and I am trying to buy the diffuser: which one are you getting?
