Front Lip Splitter carbon vs plastic??
I have a M4 on order looking to get front splitter and spoiler now
Question is it worth it to get a carbon front splitter? Will it last? If its just gonna get tore up is it not better to save the money and get plastic? Before u say it depends how u drive I am just talking about normal speed bumps, low spots, driveways etc... Also will be tracking the car a couple times per year. Any advise is greatly appreciated. thanks

Plastic here also for a couple reasons...one, never had a lip on a car and figured i'd rather screw up a cheaper one and two, i actually like the little bit of contrast you get with the carbon splitters. Also if you go with the M Perf side blades they match the plastic lip so thats an extra bonus.

Plastic for sure. You'll wince every time you hit a bump or dip if you spend the money on a CF one. Just get plastic and enjoy it!

This is what happens when you are extremely careful but don't pay attention for a split second with a CF splitter. I'd stay with the plastic.

I had a very nice, complete carbon fiber lip on my previous M3.
Within a month there was a random truck tire belt that appeared in front of me on the freeway and I had no chance to swerve out of the way. Lip goes bye bye and now I'm pissed cuz of the money I spent (not to mention the damage to the front). |
