Just got call from dealer: Car will be ready for pickup on Friday, so I can get it Saturday. Turns out my salesman ordered one too - his will be here later this month!

Well, I don't know if was helping all those little old ladies across the street, donating a half-dozen Black Friday purchases to Toys for Tots, or cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for 25 on about 21 hours notice when my 90-yr-old father decides he *doesn't* want to go out to eat and would rather stay in (THANK YOU Costco...!! :-) ), but it looks like I racked up enough karma points such that a plane or two got added to the DC->Greenville route, and I was able to snag a non-stop for $167. Plus the dealer was able to ever-so-slightly beat the finance rate that my credit union was offering! I'm set to go: departure for GSP in 7 days, 22 hrs and 41 minutes!

Not that I'm getting excited or anxious about this or anything......

I havent heard updates on my f80 thats been at port for 10 days now...

We're only four days out from delivery now!!! Finally heard back from my dealer, expecting my official paperwork hopefully today. This has been the worst wait, gah.

I have not. I contacted the dealer and they said customs would either process it last friday or today, 12/7. Apparently, and i quote, "They had a delay with customs on several cars with yours being one of them"

I've been hounding them left and right as well.

Today is the day folks! ED redelivery to Dallas-area dealer. Car arrived yesterday and should be ready for pick up after lunch.

Funny, although this was my second ED, the re-delivery always gets the most painful during that final week. Possibly compounded by the fact I made the 2nd payment on the car today

Hey man. BMW Genius just gave me a date. Appears our cars are finally at VPC.

Should be by next monday latest.

Hopefully i can get it on saturday though. Fingers crossed here

I just talked to Genius and my car is scheduled to be delivered on Saturday to my dealer - hope that is the case.

PCD delivery yesterday (and had a chance to meet another forum member Bluesun and his girlfriend), and then an 8-hour roadtrip back up to DC.

Funniest part to me was setting the speed-limit chime to 80, and the bong-bong-bong-ing of it became so incessant that I had to up it to 85, then 90, then 95 before I wasn't hitting it every 5 miles. My delivery person said I only had to keep it below 105mph and 5k RPM, so (for now) I'm coloring within the lines....

The way this car so quietly, quickly, and undramatically often attains extra-legal speeds is going to be a major threat to my license....

Merry Christmas to meeeeeee....!!

Was very nice to meet you! Can't recommend PCD strongly enough. The 9 hour drive wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be (listening to that S55 symphony doesn't hurt...). I had the exact same problems with speed -- thankfully I only passed a few cops the entire time. I only heard the 106 mph ding a couple of times (allegedly).

All in all, the car is seriously amazing. Could not have asked for more. It's plenty fast, handles like it's on rails, and the sound...goddam.

(FYI the second picture is the PCD guy driving my car to the 'take it home' area -- that's not me.)
