My week 11 build popped on 3/2. I guess I was lucky, depending on how you look at it... I added ZCP last minute on 2/29 first thing in the morning and it didn't delay my build:
F80 M3 Mineral Grey Metallic Black Extended Merino Leather DCT ZCP ZEC The struggle is real...

Yesterday the 1-800 number gave me an expected completion date of 3/12 (Saturday). Not sure if that is correct or not but hopefully that means it will be done this week.

Went into production this morning!!
Just got off the phone with Genius and my M3 went into production this morning! When he put me on hold to "pull up some more info", my heart dropped that maybe I didn't sign some additional piece of paper to ensure it's my allocation and dealer gave it to somebody else.
But, he came back and said, "Great timing on your call, your Mineral White M3 just entered production this morning and is scheduled for completion March 17th." Not sure if that's good or bad. St. Patrick's Day and all. Better 17th then the morning after I guess. I didn't have a very good day yesterday so this was much needed. Things are definitely looking up. Anybody else scheduled for finishing about that time? I need to start reviewing ship schedules to the West Coast.

Started production this morning...! Also have pcd may 13th... I'll see you there Raik! Was considering ditching the pcd, since it probably pushes delivery 3 weeks or so... But I decided it'd be worth the wait

That's cold. Rubbing it in that we have an extra couple weeks to wait for the West Coast!

Site updated
BMW website is definitely 48hrs behind genius updates. Site finally shows it's in production. Will call tonight to get a better estimate on completion date. 2 days to get to port to catch a ship doesn't seem plausible and next ship is a week later!

Shipping schedule to West Coast
Here is the W&W shipping schedule from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme in SoCal.
I hope to make the March 19th otherwise it's a week later. Still researching other shippers.

This will be my second PCD, and yes, it definitely delays delivery by several weeks (we could easily have our cars next month), but I definitely think it's worth the wait; such an awesome experience. Not to mention, by the time I drive back to Detroit, I'll be halfway through my break-in period It's so crazy to think that all of our cars are on the production line right now...this forum is awesome!!! |

MG will look awesome.. The darker colors look better when they're clean.. Unfortunately I don't have a garage, so I opted for the silver to keep it cleaner longer. Was on the edge between Yas and SS, but decided I didn't always want to stand out. |

How are you guys getting the shipping schedule?
Can someone help me out? My ED date is April 20th. I'll be dropping it back off Friday the 29th, and loginout. Like to know, if it would make a sizable difference dropping it off a day early, the 28th. Going to Port of Baltimore. |

BMW car shippers

This section includes: Up until now, you have been getting updates from BMW Genius that are generally within the last 24 hours accurate. But this is where the updates slow down. To start, you will not know your car is on a ship until about 2 days AFTER it's already been put onto a ship and left the dock. The most common carrier used for BMW is Wallenius and Wilhelmsen, with Kline and NYK a close second. Below is a link to the various shipping companies BMW uses and their shipping schedules or search pages. Here you can play for hours, searching the possible ships your car will be on based upon the destination port and shipping date, etc. http://www2.nykline.com/vesselschedu...nableCheck.nyk http://www.nykroro.com/customer/schedules.html http://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url=...ppSchedules%2F http://www.arrcnet.com/schedule/arcs...asp?S=NAEU&D=W http://www.kline.com/KAMCarCarrier/S...g_Schedule.pdf http://www.molroro.com/MOLVesselSchedule.aspx I used Wallenius Welhemlsen for the schedule as they are BMW's most common carrier. http://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?url=...ppSchedules%2F Bottom line is that you may not know which ship until you're already on it.
