So basically the person who takes over this lease is the one who gets bent over when it comes time to return it due to the mileage being much higher than what's allowed..? Your payment is attractive but any idea what it'll cost the new owner to return the car with 50k miles?

If you're just looking to rent a M car for the summer months this isn't too awful. One option is to prepurchase miles which can be done for $.15 a mile. If BMW offers a lease pull ahead you may also be able to get out of the car early and they may eat some of that mileage to get you into a new car. The bigger question would be consumables like if the car needs a new set of brakes or tires to be returned.

If you were on good terms with a dealer then this is still a warm deal for a low out of pocket.

I'm not asking for anything down. You pay $570 for 7 months. Pre purchase miles before turn in at .15 per mile. Let's say 10,000 miles over at end of lease. That's only $1,500.

You're looking to pay $1500 for miles, $350 for disposition fee. But if you burn through the new tires then wear and tear items are on you.

Or, you can pay it off anytime and own the car forever.

Where are you all getting .15c/mile from? I called BMWFS last month to ask the same question of pre-paying miles and they said it's .30c/mile. Oh but they offer a 10% off so now it's .27c

Car is currently 4,000 miles over, so that's either $1,200 (0.30/mile) or $1,080 (0.27/mile prepaid).

Suppose the person taking over the lease drives it for another 1,000 miles per month until lease turn in.

They'd be looking at another $2,700 (0.30/mile) or $2,430 (0.27/mile prepaid).

Total cost of 13,000 excess mileage:

0.30/mile = $3,900 ($1,033.33 monthly lease rate)
0.27/mile = $3,510 ($960 monthly lease rate)

This does not factor in required maintenance and wear/tear item(s) replacement.

This deal is more inclined to anyone interested in purchasing the vehicle.

Lease the car for the next 7 months at $570+tax. Roughly $4,200 you will pay in the next 7 months. Residual payoff is approximately $46,500.

The KBB value on this car is between $47,638-$51,874. Average of $49,754. This is estimated at 51,000 miles in 7 months.

I based the price off this scenario because it's not ever worth taking over a lease to return it in a few months with miles that are over the allowable. This is for someone that wants to start with a low payment without financing the full $50k.

Take the low payment and then get a loan for the $46k so payment won't increase by much.

Sorry I was going based on what my lease used to be in 2016 but it looks like it's gone up, I still can't find a concrete answer, but it should be on the lease term sheet.

You will have to offer an incentive to move this as a lease transfer. This will probably be the easiest path.

Selling might be hard as the car has a lot of miles. People usually want under 10-20k miles if they plan to keep the car for a few years.

Just want to be fair to my fellow BMW family. Concerns are legitimate so I'm willing to work with anyone interested. My initial price was still listed $4,000 under KBB value priced at $50k.

Price is now reduced to $48,800.

Kbb value is $50,193-$54,476.

Considering the rarity of this M3 (white/red, 6-Speed transmission, Competition Package, Lighting Package and immaculate condition), this is still a great deal and price is more than fair.

Lease assumption is just an option for anyone that wanted the lower payment.

Price is final.

Watching all these M3 F/S ads where owners are realizing how much values have fallen off a cliff is sad.

Yup! I learned very well to either not buy a new BMW, or possibly only with euro delivery (or just know you'll lose plenty in the long run).
They gave me an almost 7k discount off mrsp and I put like 7k down and I'm barely able to get a dealer to offer me 1-2k over what I owe on it for trade in. I couldn't believe it.
