Isn't there a large group ED happening in June, where are those lucky buyers at?

Maybe someone can help me here. Why would my car be July production?

I need to change my submission, I had a 31 week build spot. I found a dealer that had a fully loaded Yas Marine Blue launch car that is being built right now that I swooped. So ill be one of the lucky few!!

Update

One more AY added to the list. We are at 27 entries! Let's see if we can make 30 entries tomorrow.

There 10 M3s and 17 M4s. A lot more M4s than M3s.

If you have submitted your survey, please double check that I have your entry and the week is correct. If not, please PM me and I can update. Thanks.

I haven't seen the build sheet yet but they said week 16 (they said next week not "16")

Sir Lion,
Have you heard from any guys with early builds (e.g., Wk 17-19) when they anticipate (or better yet, have confirmation) when their builds with be completed, ready for shipping? I commented to humpday earlier who noted his build week is wk 19, but his completion date won't be until wk 25

Perhaps there is an "embargo" date of June 21st which prevents any us from taking delivery stateside or ED.

So maybe it isn't really better for those who have a May build if it's just going to sit at the port for over a month

She saw when my order was accepted, the week of production start (week 19, which is the week of May 4), and when production will be completed (week 25, which is the week of June 15). She said it typically takes 12-15 days to ship from Germany to the East coast. If you're on the West coast, she said it'll take an additional 12-15 days.

I'm 1st on the order list at my dealership that's NOT getting the launch car, so I'm assuming this is one of the earliest M4 productions. It sounds like they'll be hitting the east coast end of June/early July.

That was my mistake. I clarified with my SA that my conf production is week 25. That being said, he did say fit would take 6-8 weeks to get to the east coast? So if production is mid June, that means it arrives on the lot between the end of July or mid August?! WTF. It's gonna be a long summer. Someone tell me my SA is wrong.

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying.

From my experience, and reading other delivery posts, I think 6-8 wks after the car has been produced is overly cautious for the east coast. It appears the longest wait is from the time the car is ordered to the time it actually starts production. And then again waiting for a ship/trip across the pond. I would figure 3wks to 4wks max from the end of production to your dealer. The one caveat, might be the certification process at port with this being a new series/2015MY

Is this screen shot coming from BMWUSA.com? I entered my production number on BMWUSA.com and I don't see the same information. I got my confirmed production date from my SA's computer screen.
