Says he was last online at 6:11pm yesterday - all I know is that when someone is permabanned their profile says “Banned”. Dude is a straight up con artist, he probably believes the lies he tells others and himself.

All b/s. I always buy insurance when shipping. It's the sellers responsibility. He owes you. Don't let him get away.

What are the chances the wheels could be stolen too?

Does that really matter at this point? Received authentic wheels just were damaged in shipping. Unfortunately have to take this as a minor Win bc he could of never heard or received those wheels. Many ppl on the forums get bent very well over.

No, and I'm not saying the OP willingly bought stolen wheels at under market.

Yes it's definitely a win he received the wheels. But at the same time a lot of the folks who get bent over here fall for the same 3 tricks, without fail.

So no it doesn't matter. But I don't think the OP should settle with damaged wheels either. It's not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things to refinish them but I'd want to stick it to the scammer as far as I can.

How would one even know if wheels purchased were stolen?

Seriously, how hard was it to fix this situation by packing it properly? Way to waste a good opportunity to make it right. People like this create more problems then solve them in their lives. How chaotic must his/her life be when they can't remedy something so simple? These people are LOSERS. I can't imagine going through my day being such a fuckup.

When someone missing a set of CS wheels puts 2 and 2 together via bimmerpost..? Nothing would surprise me anymore based on history here.

Doesn't make sense to start throwing random accusations out there from randomly saying they are fake to now saying what if they are stolen.

Did seller send you that vid? He claims he shipped from UPS but that video clearly shows a FedEx store. Hmmm things still not adding up.

I know the above posts were not directed to me, but I've been careful to make sure I only speak the facts (or reasonable assumptions from the facts) throughout this thread.

I've never said these were fake or stolen, nor do I have any reason to believe they were. To 9M71, I also never took your post to imply that I willingly bought stolen wheels either.

Yes, seller sent me the video, but you saw the packages the wheels came in. A lot doesn't add up.
Seller shipped via UPS from a store called Mail and More in Cali. I misspoke before when I said UPS store.

As of now, it doesn't appear that he banned. It will say under their username if they are "Banned".

These are not even powder coated, they look like they were spray painted at home. Look at the center cap area and the tires were I mounted when he did this too as you can see the pain on the tres too.

Someone need to visit the person and beat his @$$ in my opinion.

Scammer aside, anyone that ships wheels without at least a piece of cardboard covering the face of the wheel deserves hell.

What blows my mind is how easy it was for him to make it right and he still chose not to.

When someone is banned, what's to stop them from creating a different username with another email?

Bimmerforums used to do that back in the day. Unfortunately crappy VPNs are free these days.

bans don't do shit, even before VPN days, it was not that hard to change your IP or use a proxy.

Figured I owed it to you guys (especially those not local) to show you the end product after a quick wash and some sunlight today.

I haven't even gotten to drive the car yet…hoping they drive right!

I would say, they're good from far but far from good. They got scuffed up pretty good during transport. I'll have to decide if I want to refinish them over the winter (assuming everything else checks out with them).

I think the color combo works as I had hoped. Thoughts? Totally ok to disagree with me…

Looks good sir. Hopefully they check out well. The first step to recovery in this bad situation.

Have you had time to find out good powder coating spots in your area? Thought about a color change (not saying they don't look good) since you would be putting up money?

I'm going to rock these as is for the rest of the season, and then see what I want to do over the winter (depending on how everything else with them checks out).
