No. Too many F80/82 out there and G80 is coming.

Down the road, a manual E90 will be more collectible than the F80 because of the V8.

Manual F80 will be on lot of demand and in general F80 holds value very well, how I know by the trade in price I got for my 16 F80 6 months back

I don't think prices will go up/not depreciate unless this car is considered a classic years down the road (which I honestly don't see happening - the S55 is a WONDERFUL engine, but is basically an N54, and with the DCT/etc. maintenance will probably be an issue down the road).

However... I just bought my 2015 out of the lease and will be keeping it until the G80 drops. Depending on where I am in two years, if I'm on the trajectory I'm on now, I'll probably keep it and lease the new G80. Even though I don't have the ZCP, I love my F80, find a smile on my face just about every time I start her up, and think it is one of the best bang-for-buck daily drivers that can also truly be tracked. Just my two cents!

After driving some ZCP, not sure you are missing anything. I like the frantic nature of my 2015. With other competitors not offering a 6MT, the F80 is king of the sedans at present time. BMW should make a M2C GC, IMO.

Agreed! I was actually looking into turning my lease and going for the M2 Competition, but having been in my friend's M2, the back seat (and really the car in general) was just too small for me :/

I am hoping within a year that the prices will drop. I can pick up another F80 as a daily and drive both F90 at the same time.

I think they will drop due to a new model coming out and people wanting to jump ship from the older model to the newer model. The E9X dropped in price around my area in the low to mid 20s.

However I do agree that some F80 models will probably dip and then valley such as the manual versions...but I think that might be the old school manual loving version of myself speaking.

I wonder if the ZCP versions will drop in price as I myself am looking for an Austin Yellow ZCP M3.

i think a stock manual f80 that hasn't been modified will probably go up in value if this is the last manual m3 maybe 10 or 20 years down the road.

Who in their right mind would spend $100k on yours when they can purchase mine for $99k?!

really just depends on whats offered on the G80. If the new car is going to be auto+awd only then yes I think F80 6mt prices will start to level out sooner than later.

The only f8x difference I think I'm seeing is....

1. The four door is holding it's value better than the e90 since it performs the same as the coupe/no sacrifices made.
2. The competition package models are depreciating at the same level as the non-competition levels, as there is an argument to be made that the comp package does not "improve" the car as previous comp packages were perceived to do.
3. If this is the last manual trans m3/m4, those models may wind up commanding a slight premium. This is unclear though.
1. What was the sacrifice in E90 vs E92? Asking.
2. Agree but only because Comp Package is standard for latest F8x. I'd sacrifice all other packages available for ZCP. Wheels and seats alone are worth it.

Nope. BMW is a high volume brand so no appreciate in values.

With German brands: only Porsche GTs (GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS) and limited edition goes up and up

no carbon roof was the major one for me. And finding a used slicktop is impossible.

Not too sure what the value is going to be like but I am definitely holding onto my 2016 F80 6MT Tanzanite Blue w/CF roof forever. Told the wife she might see $50k when I'm gone. Planning on working it to 700 whp. Only has 25k miles now. We will have a 3rd vehicle soon so the miles should remain pretty low.
