High pitched noise coming from seat logos

Two weeks ago, i took my 2018 manual exec package m3 to South Bay BMW.

They agreed with me that my M3 logos on my front seats were making a high pitches noise when lit.

They told me they would fix it for free.

Today i got a call telling me that they are going to disconect the power to these little M3 lights on my front seats, because the noise wont go away.

What can i do about this?
I do not want to sacrifice the look of those lit up M3 logos on my seats in the middle of the night.......

Just saw this post on the Facebook group

I had my lights replaced under warranty for cracking.

At the same time I had them replace my exhaust due to a horrible rattle when started. That took some stern push on my side.

that's just rubbish. call BMWNA and politely ask them why their authorized dealer can't make the freaking lights work.

They all make that high pitched tone (at least, all the white ones), there are other threads about some owners disconnecting them for this. Mine have made the noise since day 1, can't say it bothers me.

Cheers

Maybe mine is too new. I've got an '18 and I hear no high pitch noise.

I could be dead enough not to hear the frequency though too.

Hahaha im actually laughing right now....

The door creaks are next on my list. I heard there is a tape you can use to cover them, and i've heard BMW will help you apply the tape as well

Wow, I didn't know that was the case. I have heard quite a few other people who say they hear it... but darn, it bugs me so much.

Thanks

Mine is at BMW being replace right now from silver to black comp version (due to some cracking). I hope the black emblem doesnt come back with this high pitched issue. Otherwise, i will go back and have them put my original silver ones back on.

God why do I keep reading these forums. I never heard the high pitch sounds until I read this thread. Now I can definitely hear it. But only if it's dead quiet, car is off and I put my ear to the light. I have an M3 with the black ones, 4,700 miles. My guess is that it's working as intended. But when the car is on and the logo is off, there's no high pitch sound. I don't think it's a big deal personally.

+1 on the buzzing. It comes and goes. Not even slightly worried. Had the cracking silver trim replaced under warranty once too. 1 yr later guess what...new ones are still cracking. I don't want to take it in a third time and argue switching it over to the black. Leaving your car at the dealer is a dice roll. Get one thing fixed and receive a complementary dent free of charge.

All of you that hear the buzzing need to confirm that it is coming from the LED lights on your front seats.

I kept hearing the noise and finally one day i put my ear right up to the M3 LED lights on my seats and as clear as day, i could hear them LOUD.

Those lights on the seats are faulty.

I pick up my car today, afterwards I'll call BMWNA and escalate this and get a BMWNA guy to help me.

BUT you need to make sure the noise is coming directly from those LED lights....

Mine is for sure coming from the lit emblems (I put my ear to it). How do we know it's faulty if it's buzzing?

If you can hear it loud enough to bother you, then its faulty.

Ive owned/ driven e30, e36, e46 and e90 m3s. They were all quiet as night.

The seat emblems on my 2015 buzzed when lit. My 2018 is doing the same thing but just living with it.

this is so wild. almost so I don't believe it lolol. Im sure it does whine. My biggest crutch is the tires picking up rocks, and apparently a magic fairy dump trucks drops them at every intersection so I turn extremely slow...I blast the radio for my sanity
