19" tire for street and track
Looking for suggestions on a nice set of 255/35-19 (or 265/35-19) for summer and track use. I'll be running on a square set of APEX wheels, 19x9.5 et22. Any suggestions on tires for my application? Bone stock F82 M4

AD08R- Best for dry/wet and good at 50F+ temps. I recommend getting them heat cycled.
I should also add these things are like blocks when cold (on a cold start day). Expect a rocky ride for the first few miles while they warm up. You won't have this problem in spring/summer temps. Last edited by knightarmor; 03-13-2021 at 09:00 PM.. |

i made a lot of research on this subject in the last weeks, i'm searvhing myself the same. i'm looking for an extreme performance catégorie tire that is good in the street and good on the track and can last the complete season with around 6 track days (each of them is aroun 7-8 20 minutes sessions)
Since i have a bmw m2 competition, i'm limited to 19 inch tires. My final choise based on my criteria is the hankook ventus rs4 (245-35-19 and 275-35-19) but this tire is not available in the size your are looking for so.. this is the other choice you have 265/35/19 : goodyear eagle f1 supercar 3 : seem to be good on street and tolerate well the heat on track making them to last. 265/35/19: goodyear eagle f1 supercar 3R : sport cup 2 competitor, 100 threadwear, from reviews, they are amazing tire but do not expect them to last very long...still from review 3-4 track days and a little bit of street and they are done. (4000 miles) Nankang AR1 : 265/35/19, maybe a little bit agressive for the street, they are sold for 90% track and 10% street. everybody seems to love them, heat up quickly and are great on track with amazing grip. on the road expect some road noise and expect to be super carefull in the wet. Bridgestone re71R: 265/35/19 or 255/35/19: super grippy tire from review, but on track they are made to set up a quick lap or autocross....they do not tolerate heat and over a session of 20 minutes, they tend to use super fast if they overheat. Advan AD08R: long lasting tires, still from review, they heat cycle out very quickly, after maybe 8-10 sessions, then become hockey puck and lose grip very fast. Porsche guys loved them... less hardcore, more street oriented but good to have a good fun day on track : michelin pilot sport 4s or continental extreme contact sport: super tires on the street, some guys track their gt3 on michelin ps4 and they have good comments, same for the continental extreme contact sport. Good luck, it's hard to choose |

Finally, the hankook rs4 were not available when it was time to buy so i bought Goodyear eagle supercar 3
I absolutely love them, did 2 track days already, they wear very slowly, the grip is amazing I saw a video online, it was a test against the Michelin cup 2, the supercar 3 and supercar 3r Supercar 3 are around 0.5 second slower than cup 2, the supercar 3r are faster than cup 2 For lapping days, having fun, grip without worrying about tires wear and being able to have very good wear characteristics on track and a very good behaviour in the street ( not noisy) The Goodyear eagle supercar 3 are amazing. I recommend them 100% Without any doubt, they will last all my street kilometers + my 5 track days that i have this year, for information i drive around 250 km on track on each track day, so 1250 km total |

How do the Supercar 3 drive on the road without track level heat in them? Stuck in an overthinking-it-loop between these and the PS4S. I have AS3+ as my cooler weather set. Was about ready to pull the trigger on PS4S for a warm weather street set but thinking there would not be enough of a grip delta so now leaning to step up to an ~200 tw extreme summer tire. Would hope to get a few track days on them, but they will mostly be warm/dry spirited back road runs. Will the supercar 3s at "normal" temps offer grip improvements over a PS4S at the same normal temps?

Following.
Curious to know what people previously running RE71R's are replacing their tires with. Currently I'm running: TE37 Ultra's 19x9.5 ET23 19x11 ET37 RE71R 265/30 305/30 I like this set up but sometimes I feel like traction control does interfere. If anyone has feedback on a replacement tire I'm all ears. Also if anyone has ran a 275/30 Front and 305/30 Rear without running into issues.
