Am I too late?? I'll take one if any are left or someone drops out.

Edit: never mind. Forgot I already said yes. I'd also be down to get a wide version as well on round two if any slots are available. Can't really go wrong at this price. Thanks op.

Wow, I didn't expect this kind of response! It looks like I will need to do a second run since I seem to be fully sold out already. Since we're already over 8 requests, I'll show a test fitment on my car (won't drive with it on) and will go ahead and sell all 8 to you guys. I'll take one out of batch 2.

Right now I have the following list (based on earliest thread responses):

Order #1 - est. completion date 11/9
1. Lienrocs
2. Chillindrdude
3. Day Laborer
4. Flint Rockbone
5. 786
6. Boostin FD
7. knightarmor
8. Gomeler

Order #2 - est. completion date 11/13
9. Sh4d0w
10. the scotsman
11. 4play
12. ///M3ric
13. redrumm3
14. bioman
15. JimmyS
16. Open

Although I suspect they will be durable enough to last a long time, let me know if you'd like more than 1 and I can accommodate on the 2nd order.

I'll look into producing a wider splitter for a later production run. The issue is that the sheets of plastic I am buying are 48" x 120" and the OEM splitter is 59.27" (1.5m) wide. So if I go any wider, I go from being able to fit 8 splitters per sheet to 4 and the cost will go up.

In as well.
My fall line one is slightly too thick to clear my driveway successfully.

Just as an FYI, I'm not sure of the Fall Line dimensions, but this one has an identical thickness (0.375") to the stock splitter. So if the Fall Line piece is 0.375" and scrapes, this one will as well.

However, this one is even more durable and is already orange, so no scraping off paint.

The fall line one is thicker than OEM. With OEM, I cleared my driveway.

Nice job 4play, in a few short days you’ve already outfitted 5% of all the M4 GTS’s in the USA.

Alright, so after some issues with suppliers and the waterjet cutting folks, they finally arrived today. The waterjet shop I used was not able to cut the counterbored channels in the splitter, so I am taking them to another shop tomorrow for final finishing. Total cost may slightly rise as a result, but shouldn't be more than the initial $200 estimate.

Compared to stock piece - coloring is obviously not perfect as Acid Orange is much more bronze/metallic than a true orange (dog's tennis balls for scale):

Weight is a touch under 5lbs - about 2lbs more than stock. The finished weight will be slightly less as the 2nd machine shop will remove some material for final finishing.

Stock:

Fully retracted:

I think it would have been better if it was black, to be honest. That color is... bright! However, If the purpose is for track, then I could see where that would be good in order to preserve the stock one.

I would still prefer that longer one... to complete the whole bumper to the edge. The damn thing just looks like a tongue.

Well - a bit late for that as I have 16 of them now!

It definitely looks a lot more neon in the photos than in actuality. It's a bit of a grey day here today, and the low light for the mounted photos (plus my white car) makes it look even more florescent.

Happy to design/create a larger one (as stated before) if someone wants to commit to the material and labor costs ahead of time!

Lol, the color does look quite off. But if I want to gussy up the car for a night out on the town, I can always put the factory splitter back on.

edit: this actually might be a fun opportunity to stickerbomb the splitter.

Yeah, I want to get some better photos tomorrow - the photo with my splitter on the scale (OEM is below) is a more accurate color representation than the on-car photos.

It's just plain orange, rather than the copper/burnt copper metallic that is Acid Orange. It was never meant to color match - the goal was to get as close as we could with off the shelf plastics.

Worst case, you could have someone paint it Acid Orange and it would still be cheaper than the unpainted Fall Line replica.

Is there a solution to smooth out the front edge? In the pics it appears to be wavy finish, along with "sandwich" crease horizontally in the middle of the edge.

I wouldn't mind having it painted, but the edge doesn't appear as it would be flush with the upper CF piece

The initial shop that did the cutting used waterjet but did not use the finest setting, so the edge cut wasn't perfect. They also weren't able to cut the counterbores for the bolt holes.

Hence the parts being at a machine shop for final finishing.

The color is too far off for me. I'll give up my spot to someone else who wants one.
