Engine cover fitment issues
Hey guys I know this is a common issue when doing aftermarket charge pipes but I am hoping someone has a suggestion besides the ones I have already tried.
I have the m performance carbon engine cover right from BMW so I know thats not the issue. But I have titanium charge pipes from RK titanium and so far here is everything I tried. I have unscrewed the little posts that the engine cover mounts to and while it makes it a little better it still doesnt fix it. I have purchased the extended mounting post from ESS and again it makes it better but still not enough. A member on here told me to remove the foam strips on the back of the engine cover and that also slightly helped me but not enough. I know most people wouldnt even notice or wouldnt be bothered by it but my OCD here is driving me crazy lol I have also seen people cut the engine cover to expose all of the charge pipes and although it looks good I dont want to go that route. |

I was going to suggest option three, but you already stated your answer. The radius that are already built into the cover will not cover larger diameter charge pipes.
You will have to either remove the cover period or get to cutting a larger radius in the cover. For me, as I'm not looking for anymore power, and I'm happy with my OEM charge pipes and TMIC with my carbon engine cover.
