Are you on E85? Do you have any 60-130 numbers? 1/4 or 1/2 mile trap speed?

Happy thanksgiving!

I wonder how much extra power the meth is helping in this case tuning wise. I feel like I don't read about E85 + meth combined often. Any ballpark guess? For example, would you lose 50whp if you did just E85, no meth?

Second that. You don’t see many meth setups on here. Is it 100% methanol or specific ratio of water/meth?

I run 100 percent meth on E50. Also run shitty 91 octane. Also the meth allows the stock LPFP (in my case) to adequately fuel the thirsty engine. It definitely helps it stay under max duty cycle. So at the very least, it allows for headroom with the fuel trims.

BlownOne and I LITERALLY run the EXACT same setup except I am tuned by Paul Johnson and only for E50 (since the closest E85 is 40 miles away). As it is, I keep about 50 gallons handy lol

You normally don’t see too much E85+meth because adding methanol to the mix will just be for cooling purposes if you’re running E85 already. Methanol will keep your IAT’s down more than anything if your fuel is E85. If for some reason your ethanol content is bad then yes the meth can kick in for the lack of ethanol content to make the power needed. Other than that, people normally run both to keep IAT’s in check.

Great build also. Definitely a sleeper. I like your style!

I primarily added meth for ait cooling in the summer months when it gets above 100* and to keep them low during long wot pulls through multiple gears. Methanol does make more power as a bi product from the cooler more dense air it creates, but I’m not sure how much in this case.

+1. The meth is actually adding fuel to help keep up with the target lambda/afr in the upper rpms.

Yea man that sucks you’re that far from a pump because you only get 150 miles or so per tank of e85 lol. 50 gallon drum at home helps for sure, but moving it around is a bitch! Haha

Well said! It definitely helps iats during long freeway pulls or at the track or when the weather gets warm. And you’re right, it gives an octane cushion in case you get poor fuel and your setup is relying on it. Meth is a beneficial safety net to add to any higher hp boosted setup imo.

Thanks brotha, I appreciate it!

Where do you plumb your meth nozzles in with silicone charge pipes ? Are you using 1 or 2 nozzles ? What size ? I have basically the same bolt ons and now looking into meth .

No I have my nozzles in the j-pipe post intercooler, which is the ideal location for any meth setup. Im using two #6 nozzles (600cc) and running 100% methanol.
