For some reason Which I cannot figure out I traded that car for a 2017 comp package DCT car.
I then sold the 2017 and bought a 20k Mile E90 Competition Pack 6MT car (my current car)
This one makes great noises and is very engaging to drive but man comparatively it just feels slow.
I have a DD so this car is solely a weekend warrior.
I'm struggling with a little Car A.D.D.

My budget is a max of 60k and I can get back into a 6mt F8x and this time mod it/tune it and go for crazy HP?

I think In an ideal world I'd save up some extra money and get a 997 Turbo in a stick.

Am I missing any other vehicle? I don't think I am In my range.

My neighbor got a GT350 and it sounds good (startup roar is a sound to behold) and looks ok. I am not a mustang guy but he seems to like it.

I can second this, plus I believe driving with the top down provides the perception you are driving faster too. (think I read that somewhere)

Wait and get a 997.2 TT 6sp. I came from a 991.1 C2S fbo + Cobb to a F80 in search of more space + HP/tq and I regret it everyday in terms of driving experience lol.

Based upon lengthy E92 ownership history and the fact that you went back to an E90 -- you prefer n/a? And high revs? Noise?

And you want a manual. Have you driven a GT350? GT350R are sub-60 now.

Not to mention the noises the GT350 makes are amazing. I'm not sure if they improved the reliability of the newer engines though? But, if you can get past the plastic interior and vibrations, that car honestly feels like an extension of the E92 M3 in how it drives.

Agreed. Like a successor to the E9X.

The one I drove was almost new. No rattles, felt well put together.

Interior wasn't great overall, but good enough and the seats are $. Much better than the E9X sofas.

Can get an R w/ extended warranty for <60 to address engine concerns.

Manual F80 and GT350(R) in the garage, I think for a weekend run (OP's intention) you're grabbing the Ford keys 9/10 times.

Oh yes, the recaro's in the car are fantastic. I don't mind the plastic interior as long as the car is comfortable (which it is), but that engine is just such a peach. My friend has one and whenever I get to drive it, I always have a huge grin on my face.

Domestic options still getting dismissed in the abstract.

But have yet to meet anyone who doesn't find them massively entertaining real world.

The Americans are making the engines that are good for a laugh nowadays

Manual trans, n/a, 500 bhp, GT350 or a .2 GT3 for 2-3x the cost.

100% agree, sadly the rumor of the GT350 being replaced with a "Mach 1" model with a "simpler" engine setup seem to be happening.

OP, I'm in a similar boat... in an M2 now but got the itch for something else. I'm all over the place, too.

Option 1 is a do-it-all car like another F8x or wait for the G80 M3. Good deals can be had on M4s and there's a new 6mt M4 for sale at a local dealer I've been eying.

Option 2 is Telsa Model 3 Performance + either 996 or e9x M3. I really miss both my Cayman and E92 M3 and I'd definitely need a companion car to the M3P since I'm not ready for EV life without an analog-ish NA car to go with it.

Option 3 is CPO 991.2 or GT4 but those are still a little expensive for what I'm looking to spend at the moment.

It's a tough decision! Probably didn't help any... good luck!

Exactly.
Option 1 is a do it all car
Option 2 is DD with the E90

Lol your option 3 ??

I agree with option 2. The 2 car setup is always better than the "one car to do it all".

NA vs EV vs Turbo
Manual vs DCT
mid/rear engine vs front engine.
2 seater vs 4 seater
rwd vs awd

alot of these dilemmas go away with a 2 car setup. And one can be a DD. With mileage being split you don't have to worry about depreciating your E92 m3 / 996tt or other weekend car as much.

lol yea option 3 was more wishful thinking than anything else... like that's what I'd probably do if my budget was just a bit higher. I've seen some CPO 991.2 base 7mts listed for mid 70s but GT4s are still hovering around 80-85k, so that's most likely out.

Option 1 and 2 are the most realistic.
