I was wondering if anyone knows what this is rubbing and if it's important? This is the right fender liner

Sorry I'm a noob to all of this

Looks like the tire is rubbing it, and not lightly either. Of course the fender liner is important - there's quite a few items behind it that I wouldn't want directly exposed.

I know it's not smart to spray directly at the fender liner, so I don't. Does anyone know what this is behind the liner?

What about when you're driving - water, rocks, road debris, etc is what I'm talking about.

Yeah I understand, more or less I'm trying to find out what exactly this is in the picture. I can heat gun the fender liner and push it back to close it again.

Well im pretty sure what you're looking at in the photo is a hole worn into your wheel liner. You should know that if you took the photo, right?
