Best year for the F80 ZCP?
I’m in the market for a used F80 with the competition package but not sure if there is a specific year that I should be targeting. I do have a budget but would be willing to spend extra if there was a consensus that say for example, MY2018 was the one to get. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance!

MY2018 had LCI changes incorporated so that might be a good year. However, for the right price and specs, MY2017 is great as well.
I think instead of a specific year, you should target your color choice and specs. |

My wife's 2018 M3 ZCP with iDrive 6.0 has many things that make it superior to my 2016 M4 Coupe with iDrive 4.0.
The ZCP, IMHO, is superior to a non-ZCP because the suspension has been sorted out noticeably better. The stock ZCP exhaust is also superior to the stock non-ZCP exhaust and even better than a non-ZCP with the MPE. The later versions of iDrive are superior to prior versions of iDrive. Here's an example of how iDrive has improved: My wife and I are both going to an event and are meeting there, me leaving from home and her leaving from work. I put the event on our shared Google Calendar along with the location. We also both have the BMW ConnectedDrive app on our Android phones and Google Calendar is integrated into the app. I search for the location in Google Maps on my laptop and send the location to my car. When I'm in the car ready to leave, I pull up Messages in my iDrive 4.0, select the message that has the location, and start Navigation to that location, having to confirm at least once or twice to start navigating and that's where I want to go. My wife gets in her car, starts the car, and iDrive 6.0 automatically starts her Navigation to the location because the ConnectedDrive app has auto-sensed that she's in her car, checks her calendar, and determines that she's probably going to the next event on her calendar. She said that it doesn't always do this, particularly if she leaves earlier than when the app says she has to leave to get to her next event, but when it does, it's awesome. Any other differences between model years are largely trivial, such as the fact that the cargo net in the trunk attaches differently, etc.
