Who was your SA at Mckenna? I've always had Lina watch over my car.

Im in North OC and looking for a Service Advisor. My 2019 M2 Comp is 1 year old now and iDrive has been notifying my my annual service is up.

Im dreading going to the Dealer because I am OCD about my car. I dont want any car washes, NO Test drives, don't want any DME updates, etc. Dont want to leave the car for a long time also. I have done a oil change on the S55 myself before and it took me 20 minutes to do.

Any Service Advisor in Orange County or even LA that can help me out I would appreciate it!

I drove from DTLA to South Bay just to take it to Charlie to save myself the headache of SAs trying to ding me for every little thing. 12/10 would recommend.

Charlie, I left you voice messages and you never returned my messages man.
When I was over at South Bay, your advisor decided to flag my car so I can't even get the schedule maintenance on my brand new M3.
Please check your messages and please call me man.

Patrick
What mod did they flag you for?

Patrick,

Before you take to a public forum please get all your facts straight. Your vehicle was not "flagged" at my dealer, your vehicle has been at another dealer(I will not disclose who). You've been told this by my team last week and even months before, your vehicle has not been back at my facility since June of 2019.

I had BM3 Tuned plus MPE exhaust.
Officer gave me two tickets - One for Emission test and One for Noise Ticket.
I let Dealership know about this situation and it has been flagged.
Now the noise ticket has been changed to fixed ticket ( my ticket has been dismissed after paying 700 bail amount )
But now I have issues with BMW NA..
I had full faith in South Bay, they said they will take care of me.
I just hope to hear good news from them..
Damn that sucks. Hope you can resolve this. Are you de-catted? I've had MPE on two M3's and never got a fix it or emissions test requirement.

with stock cat. I think living in LA can be cruel for loud cars cuz police are everywhere. The officer pulled me over cuz of my burble sound.
My car is currently at the South Bay waiting on inspection from NA.
I really wish South Bay can take of this for me.

When were you cited? After the new year? When you get tested, see if they will let the car stay in eco mode. As a fellow MEP owner, I'd like to see if we can pass inspection this way. 95dbA is the limit:

I got cited on June last year, But CA changed the noise ticket to fixed ticket now so as long as you can pass the DBA test under 95 decimal you should be fine, - and no, they will test the car at sport or sport plus.

That’s why you get a Valve controller like CG VSC with valves closed as the default setting keeps sport and sport plus from opening them

Per our conversation on the phone just now, thanks for letting me know that South Bay wasn't the one that "flagged" my car. Also, thank you for taking care of scheduled maintenance on my car man - Glad I got my car from South Bay BMW

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

BM3 allows you to keep the valves closed...

I had a good experience with Charlie/one of his service advisors. Got me in, got a bunch of warranty work done. The SA did ask me if the car was tuned, and just made sure it was in the stock tune configuration. Other than it taking a long time, I’m completely content.

Also, the exhaust noise thing is something I’m dealing with as well. I have a AA full exhaust and from my understanding you don’t go to a dealer to resolve this issue, you go to a referee. You can also hire a attorney to get it dismissed.
