Hello, I’d check the vin & get the original window sticker so you can see all the details for this car. I think the price is decent F8X market is all over the place, but I’d definitely negotiate.

my concern is why it was sold and then bought back to be sold again later in the year by the same company

That’s very interesting. It may have an underlying issue because the 2nd owner only drove 200+ miles. Possibly the second owner going through financial hardship & dealer bought it back. & the second owner has less price tag over his/her head. I’d join a Fb group as well and see if you can get any intel. Reach out to the dealer & inquire if they’re okay with you doing a PPI.

To stop guessing - arrange for a PPI somewhere local to the seller. Pay for 1-2 hour or labor to do that.
That will tell you everything you want to know, and then some!

It's best to approach this transaction with eyes wide open and have the PPI completed. This will give you a stronger bargaining tool to negotiate the cost of any services the vehicle requires.
