OEM OLED taillight replacement

I just recently upgraded my taillights to OEM OLED. Got them coded and everything works great. So, recently I've noticed that there's condensation in one of the left inner taillights and I didn't think anything of it. Well, I just recently noticed that one of the fins (I think that's what it's called) does not light up completely like the others. I think that the condensation caused one of them to go bad. With my OCD, I'd like to replace just the left inner taillights. Can I purchase just the left inner ones on Real OEM or at any BWM parts department? Can I just buy it individually instead of the whole set?

Oh by the way these were bought from a forum member used, so it's not like I can exchange them or return. They weren't purchased new from IND or anything. I just want to replace just that one defective taillights. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That piece is $2000 by the way. If you buy it from Turner or FCP you’ll atleast have lifetime warranty on it.

Oouchh!!! I think most likely I'll go that route because I looked on ebay and the listings are either chipped lens, scratches, and or damage, and who knows what else is wrong with it. With the one I just purchased a few months ago, they all looked perfect until I washed the car and noticed the condensation. Otherwise I wouldn't of known. Thanks again!

Might be worth a BMW diagnostic charge at next service to be sure before dropping 2 large... Now you'll have a brand new section of led's which aren't burned in with a set of burned in led lamps. (SMH) I would blast the seller, but I personally would never buy these used so I hope you got a decent price on them!

Good luck, OP. I love my OLEDs, and they make the car look like it has wings on the back, but if mine ever go out I'd probably just replace them with OEM Blackline LCI tails. I think the LCI tails are still one of the nicest taillights BMW has ever created, they're just beautiful. Obviously not as nice as OLEDs, but for a fraction of the price they cannot be beat. Good luck however!

Yeah this was tough. I got them at a good price. I agree that it's risky buying these used, but the prices for new ones are outrages.

I agree that these are really beautiful. Funny thing is that originally I was looking for the shadowline LCI's and I just happen to stumble upon this set and the price was good so I jumped on it.

I have another follow-up question. So, once I get this one replaced, does anyone know if it would need to code again just to swap out the left rear inners? Will it be just plug and play and no coding necessary.

The car is already coded for it so just plug and play.

Looks like they’re out of stock with a 1 month restock lead time, then factor in another month with standard shipping, that’s 2 whole months to wait, plus a potential 15-25% orange man tax.

Schmiedmann is a reputable seller so it’s definitely a good option but man that wait time would kill me lol. however the $2-300 savings after tariff should ease the pain from waiting.

Definitely that's a good price, but what Slow M3 said about the wait time has me thinking carefully about it tho. Should I pay the extra from buying through Turner or ECS and they have that lifetime warranty. How would lifetime warrany applies for taillights? I have used FCP lifetime warranty on maintenance parts like spark plugs, but how would they cover the lifetime warranty on taillights? How would I go abouts to get the lifetime warrany applied. Say if it gets scratches, wouldn't that be wear and tear and not covered under warranty.

Scratches are wear and tear. If you get a new set factor in the cost for PPF to protect your purchase..Now if a light goes out, housing leaks etc. That's a returnable issue.

Also, you could have them ceramic coated, that was the route that I took.
