Wheel spacer size recommendations?

Looking to purchase some for my m4 and was wondering what people's opinions are on the best size to go for with standard wheels? And if anyone has had any problems with them?

Thanks in advance.

Use the search function. There's a thread with about 30 pages that will answer all your questions. The consensus is generally 15mm front and 12mm rear.

Either way round on the M4 - i was 15mm F and 12mm R, however we don't have great roads so stone rash started on the bottom of the doors, now running 12mm F and 15mm R and no issues, i have the KW HAS kit fully down and no rubbing, hope this helps. (running stock 19" wheels)

Cheers
John

Honestly they look good on and poke the wheel nicely, i preferred 15f 12r as it squared the wheels but the rash on the bottom of the door was noticeable after a few weeks so swapped and its fine now.

All the best
John

That's all that matters! That you're happy with your choice

Typically, 15F/12R is best for stock wheels, let me know if you need help along the way.

Tom i bought my spacers from you and some IND parts, due to our poor roads in Scotland i swaped from 15 to 12 as recommended to 12 to 15 due to stone rash, great service btw !

it depends what look you're going for. If you want the old 70's look with a wider stance in the back and narrower in the front then go with 15mm rear and 12mm front.

If you want a wider stance but squared all around then 15mm in front and 12mm in rear. The front tires are already each 3mm inset from the factory.

As I'm not a kid anymore driving around in my '71 Javelin AMX with 60's in the back and 70's in the front I went with the squared off look in my M3 and love it.

12mm all round, keeps everything in balance and I have zero stone rash issues.

Is there any impact with regards to comp pack and spacers?

Was looking at 12mm all round (for a wider stance look) but not keen on affecting ride/balance nor introducing any road rash.

James

I had 10mm H&R spacers all round on my M3CP since I got it (dealer fitted them at PDI) and no issues at all and it looks fantastic! The rears especially are proper beefy!

The M3 and M4 suit different set ups by the way.

Tried H & R spacers 15 front and back , when I did a turning there is a loud sound (felt like tyres scrubbing against the car) Anyone else experience this?
