I think this just about sums up what people should do.
I'm going with the Akra on my CS.

As I wrote in another thread I purchased an m3 cs which I will pick up in June and after a little sound check at the dealer I noticed the sound of the cs exhaust is different, deeper, than from the zcp exhaust. Anyway, it was too quiet for me compared to my 16 M4 with mpe and I’m thinking of taking that mpe for the cs too but the problem, at least in Germany, we don’t have an answer from bmw yet that the mpe is legal on the cs

The S55 sounds fantastic, its the midpipe configurations that ruin the sound. It can be fixed. More DD is needed here Also DP is def not the answer as stated above. Messing with the DP with almost always create more RASP depending on your setup

there is. If you have the valves opened all the time, there are differences in how it sounds in comfort, sport, and sport +.
There seems to be more bassy notes in sport as compared to comfort, and sport + just has more gun shots but no louder than sport. I'm not sure why there is more bassy notes in sport as compared to comfort w/ valves opened, there seems to be some ECU trick at play here down in the lower range. With the valves in OE configuration, Sport has the valves opened all the time except in gears 5+ once cruising. Sport + has it opened regardless of gear/load. All modes pretty much have the valves opened at 4,500 + so they sound the same except on overrun where comfort has no noticable burbles. CS-specific only, I can't speak about other trims.
