Maybe the passenger holds the drink up to his mouth for him on his travels? At which point he then pushes the throttle a bit more to initiate the flow of water/coffee and takes a sip, all while his hands are at 3 & 9. Let's not forget we're talking about the safety expert here.

My X2 has the "dual zone" climate and honestly I can't even tell whats different about them. Thats how marginal these arguments are and only exist online when people have too much time to spend commenting. No one who is serious about buying one walks into a dealership and leaves saying, if not for that single zone climate or armrest, we would have had a deal!

The amount of “weight savings” there sounds a bit gimmicky to me anyway. Too bad as It’s a pretty convenient place for storage.

Are you always this angry?

Except for one is a dual zone and one isn't. I already said for me personally the climate and the lack of an armrest wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. But, for some people it obviously is.

No one has ever walked into a dealership confident they were going to buy a car and then changed their mind about it? back at yah.

Nah, it’s the nonsensical subjective posts that attract and invite the most responses, let’s not get to ennamored with ourselves now!

Actually it's not. A dual zone climate control system requires dual ducts that bring hot and cold air to the different delivery areas and mixers to adjust the individual temperatures. A single zone system foregoes all this.

Strictly speaking of the center armrest.

It was actually a serious question. But you know how Bimmerpost goes. Me personally, I like comfort. I guess some will say it's not for me then. Ok

Same as with a E46M with euro center console. Only miss the arm rest when getting into the car. For some reason I like to place my right arm on the armrest for stability as I enter the car. Once in the car and driving don't really notice it's missing.

The lack of the armrest and the lack of a leather heated steering wheel are the main reasons I couldn't buy a CS. I really dislike alcantara too, but I could get over that (except on the steering wheel) considering the positives the car has. But living in a cold climate, the heated steering wheel is by far my favorite "comfort" feature on my current M3. Can't imagine not having that. But it's hard to resist San Marino Blue, the hood, and the extra power.

I did the exact same on both my E46 M's; I did the Euro tray swap. Both were also 6 speeds and it was just as comfortable if not more after I got used to it

+1. The center armrest doesn't really bother me at all. The lack of Comfort Access I'm still getting used to. It's not enough to make me regret my purchase. It's just something I need to get used to.
