Take it to a different shop and make sure the shop spray alpine white instead of mineral white. That's stupidity at the high level on the shop's part.

Whats funny to me is that they sprayed the wrong colour that requires more work to spray than the AW. Get this fixed OP don't let them get away with this!

Picked the car up today and it looks much better and actually alpine white. Glad they were able to do it over the weekend and I can put an end to this!
Thanks for all the replies!

its just so baffling that someone who paints cars all day...can do this and not immediately notice something is wrong. but hey mistakes happen; glad it got fixed and you are happy with it; thats all that matters

That sucks they used MW instead of AW

For what it's worth, I got my AW car from Welt and from some angles the front bumper didn't look like it was the same color as the rest of the car even when rotating on the turn table. I asked about it and was assured it was just a trick of the light and not a repaint.

Other cars on other turnables looked similar

AW is actually not that easy to match as it's a very rich/yellow-ish white (there is a lot of *color* in it).... been there done that. And, as others have said, the right way to match is to use the existing paint on the car as a reference point. Finally, it is virtually impossible to get a perfect match with any color and so blending into adjacent panels is the only surefire way to "mask" the repainted panel. In other words, painting a single panel, even in the best of circumstances, is usually visually obvious to a keen eye under the right lighting.

All that said, that bodyshop is full of clowns.... obviously painted it MW on the first go. Complete morons.

This post makes me really nervous. I just picked up a 2016 BMW M3 from a local dealer in Mineral White. Everything was perfect except for one small spot on the bumper which I asked to be fixed. I picked up the car and it was covered in dirt so the spot looked okay. Later on after rinsing it this thing high beamed me in the face. It looks like he painted the spot fucking alpine white!! LOL or white body filler???

Obviously I was unhappy, and took the car back again. They "repaired" it and when I picked it up I had a high power flash light and in indirect light the spot was still extremely visible; then I looked past all the dirt in the paint and saw this as well!!!! I mean who masks like that first off, second why not take the bumper off or mask along the seam???

Anyway, the dealer has the car again now and it was sent to an actual body shop to be repaired at their expense so hopefully everything looks ok when I pick it up this week.

Good news fellas, the dealer sent the car to a reputable body shop in town since they were unable to repair it properly. About a week later I have the car back and it looks great! The body shop took the bumper off and repaired it properly along with repairing the tape lines on the quarter. I was nervous you would be able to tell that my bumper has now been painted several times but I am happy to announce it looks 10/10.

Did you take the car to a reputable shop? Did you take it to an OEM Dealer, etc.?

The vehicle needs to be fixed to like quality prior to the accident, plain and simple.

Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. Some people accept shit back and the only place that wins is the shop. They end up losing money to not fix it right the first time & take short cuts.
Well said!
