WTB CS / GTS Bonnet

Wanting to buy a CS or GTS bonnet, oem hail or accident damage is fine, also an aftermarket one with good fitment would be ok as well. Don’t mind damage or imperfections. Based in Sydney.

I was thinking to get my M4comp a CS style bonnet but wondering will it fit for M4comp. Did you ask BMW parts department how much they sell for a CS/Gts style bonnet?

Are these genuine BMW bonnets or aftermarket copies?

There is an option.
If we can get a fair amount we might be able to get OEM ones fairly cheap.

The US made copies are of very good quality and at half the price Domino paid.

I'd like a GTS bonnet, they look great! I'd prefer an original but if an aftermarket copy of equal quality is available, it's definitely worth considering. I'm mostly concerned about ripples and fit in aftermarket copies that often takes considerable preparation costs to straighten them out and doesn't end up a whole lot cheaper after painting.

I've seen a couple of M4 aftermarket rear spoilers that didn't fit as well as the MPE and were a bit ripply. Reasonably good at a quick glance but not OEM quality.

Faux are good for people who are happy to knowingly have a faux part - by this I mean if there's imperfections in fit and finish, you just roll with it

If you have to pay a body shop to start taking the time to play around with fitment, multiple sanding and filling layers to hide imperfections, you begin to close the price gap to genuine pretty fast

Add to fact it's worth f.all on used market, and in long term you aren't really saving much, if at all

Parts like that never fit right aftermarket.

Got to be oem here.

It's like the genuine CS front spoiler I fitted to my ZCP, it's an intricate fit with great potential not to align with the bumper properly as it's attached to the chassis rails and bumper support.

Likewise with every genuine BMW fitment I've done, the spoiler fitted perfectly as if it was factory fitted to a CS with the typical exceptional BMW carbon fibre quality and finish. I could have bought a CS copy for less than half the price but there's no way given their not simply screwed to the bumper underside that a non-genuine spoiler/bracket kit would fit as perfectly as the genuine product and match the OEM quality and finish.
